Tito's Peruvian Restaurant

Well British reserve was evident again last evening! We were the first table of the evening and wrongly presumed we would receive good and attentive service. Wrong! staff left us feeling we were not wanted and took our orders with a take it or leave it attitude. The recommended cocktail was reasonable but he food was probably the poorest we have tried in a long time. It was cool, heavy and generally tasteless. The pork was apparently cooked for four hours, but was hard and dry with the cassava a dough ball of cold deepfried mush. the plantains were other fried vegetables were soggy and luke warm. Deep fired mussels are not the best way of serving such an item!
This place is definitely not good value for money, ambiance or service.

Well...it wasn't as good as the other reviews, we got there and the "nice" furnitures were only a few paintings, showing some tipical peruvian situations, and a tv showing only 1 pic of the Machu Pichu..the service was ok,staff friendly(even a bit too much!!!,The waiter when wrongly opened our bottle of wine slipped a distinct "OH S*%T!! Right at the table..)the food was good, but delivered with a gap of 20 mins between starter and main course and whae we asked for dessert they told us that the kitchen was closed without any possibility of choice or communication that it was closing in case we wanted something else..(to me it's a basic service when you go eating out!!)

This place kicks ass!
Everything on their menu is delicious but I particularily recommend any of the dishes with plaintains and cassava. Also be sure to try the Pisco Sour cocktail.
The decor contians traditional Peruvian furnishings and is very cosy.
The staff are amazingly friendly and efficient. You are guaranteed to leave this place with a full belly and a smile on your face.

Peruvian cuisine is not generally very spicy/hot. A lot of really hot dishes served at a Peruvian restaurant would normally be a sign that you got things mixed up and ended up at a Mexican place.
I have not been to Tito's yet, but intend to give it a try. I just wanted to clarify the above after noticing that several people were somewhat annoyed at their food not being "fiery hot".

I really like this place... I travelled to peru over a year ago and had the time of my life. Visiting Tito's Peruvian Restaurant brought back some great memories! The staff were polite and not all pushy. The food was lovely. Some people may say the portions are big and this why I recommend you opt for a main course only... I recommend the "Arroz con mariscos" which is a sort of paella, only the peruvian version consists of seafood only.
The restaurant is well presented and always has a great atmosphere. Service is great and the food was absolutely delicious! Oh, and don't forget to try the Pisco Sour which is a really tasty peruvian cocktail.

We came here after all the rave reviews. The decor was a bit shabby, there were renovations going on downstairs, and we had a wobbly table.
The portions are huge. The ceviche was lovely, and once I'd ploughed my way through that, I had a spicy prawn and rice dish. None of our party could finish their starter and main course so I suggest you share between yourselves.

what a great place to relax and enjoy a great range of peruvian food. Its a pity its categorized as "amercian", as while technically correct I suppose, is misleading.
Unfortunately they don't have a website so I cant look up the names of some of the delicious dishes I had such as the mixed platter of potatoes and maize. Ones that I can remember and good were ceviche mixto, aji gallina and camarones piqantes. And you have to have a jug of pisco sour! The peruvian white wine was good and went well with the food. There were amazing toasted maize things served with the drinks, not like spanish gigantes, much lighter. Next job, order a peruvian cookbook....

Well, having been to Tito's many times I have always enjoyed my visit. The food is delicious and the cocktails they make their are simply addictive. During my last visit, I was suprised to see that they've re-furbished the restaurant (downstairs). It's modern, yet still feels peruvian through all the decor. I love this place and would recommend it to any friend or family. A restaurant with great food, ambience and service...

I am peruvian and I can say that the ceviche tastes as the real peruvian ceviche! Is hard to eat in a foreing country a good ceviche but this was very good. I will recomend this place to all my friends as I want the food of my country to be known . The place is lovely and the service is good. Do not forget to try the Pisco Sour, which is the traditional peruvian drink. Also as a dessert I recommend the alfajor. The only thing that I could say is that maybe the pastry of the alfajor should be a bit tinner! For sure I will come back! And the prices are very reasonable! the portions are big!
