Sabor

I was making my second visit to Sabor and on both occasions I've been mightly impressed .

I started with a fabulous monkfish Ceviche l - ahhhh! I'm salivating thinking about it. My main was Chicken with spicy Peruvian sauce. It was really tasty. I finished with tropical sorbets..

I don't think you'd be disappointed by a visit to sabor - highly recommended

I booked this restaurant off the cuff reading the reviews on this website for four of us and given our previous terrible experiences, we were all very nervous as to what we were in for.

My wife and I are very fond of French food only and I must say that not a single one of our party was disappointed with the food nor the service. Sabor is a lovely restaurant with lots of atmoshpere and good service.

The food was terrific and delicious and mouthwateringly sensuous on the tastebuds.

The lovely owner and his latino team made us feel very welcome and helped us choose our wine and deserts. This restaurant is perfect for a date, or a small celebration or anniversary - or just going out with friends. You HAVE to try the deserts as they are amazing!!!!

It was with great trepidation that I went to this restuarant because I only like british food and French but it was o.k. Don't expect the world but if you are young and willing you may enjoy it.

Went to this SOUTH American restuarant last night (please note the cusine type london-eating and update your cusine category !) and had some wonderful food.

Not experts in the various types of Latin american food, we ordered a couple of the Main dishes, and two of there cocktails. The cocktails were well mixed, and my Pisco sour had just the right level of "bite" for a pre-dinner drink. The main courses were good too, with a seafood style stew for my partner and a wonderful oxtail in red wine sauce and exotic mash for myself. The food was great, and I wish I'd had more room for desserts, which looked very interesting and read like they would be very tasty too.

Only things that detracted from a perfect meal where the slightly small tables for two - being over 6 foot I have to put one leg under the table, and one around the side - but this is only a minor point and shouldn't stop others from going to enjoy the good, interesting cusine at reasonable prices set in a very attractive resturant with a well lit bar, good use of mirrors and a minimal but effective use of animal masks to add rich colour to the cool surroundings. Service was quite good, with the manager / head barman offering excellent advice on both the food and drinks they serve.

Worth a visit.

Had my birthday here last week- 25 people and everyone said afterward what a great time they had. The Staff are good guys. I didnt book enough seatsalthough this must have been a big inconvenience, the boys dealt with it and laughed about it. The cocktails & the food are fantastic too, and I have eaten a help of alotta latin food in Miami. Muchos gracias chicos - hasta pronto!!

We were a group of 9 at Sabor recently for Christmas meal. The staff greeted us well and the table although a little tight due to the layout of the restaurant was adequate. Although booked for 8, we had an additional last minute guest and they accommodated us with no fuss, simply great! Although we checked out the wesite regarding Christmas menus, there were two pricings, we were only given Menu 2, ie the pricier one only. Had we not asked about Menu 1, they would not have shown it to us. Food was simply great, steak was well cooked and tender. Check the bill, as always, as we found some added item we did not order.

What a great restaurant! The staff are the main asset - all very friendly, and the waitress recommended a fab cocktail (pisco sour). My starter of tuna ceviche was pretty good, but the argentine fillet steak was amazing.

As another reviewer mentions, the tables are pretty small and a little cramped, but don't let that put you off.

This restaurant is great! Whenever mt wife, myself, my friends have a special occasion we go here. The people who own it really get involved - they love it! A true Islington gem. I've never felt so comfortable arranging 20 people to eat and know we will be so well looked after! Amazing place!

I ate at Sabor with my husband and we had an amazing meal. The sevrice was impeccable and the food was amazing. We were a little late seated to our table and the maitre de insisted that we had all of our cocktails on the house, Whilst certailny not a regular, I'm slowly working my way through most of London's starred restaurants, and this one ranks up there with the best of them in my view!

This is a fantastic restaurant to where I have eaten 3 times. The food is a mixture of different South American dishes, and is absolutely delicious. The service is efficient and fresh juices etc are very good.
