Gourmet Burger Kitchen (Putney)

I agree with all the reviews here. Very good burgers but not a perfect experience. The buns could be better and I don't like the relish you get on them much. The cheeseburger is probably my fav - keep it simple, however there are loads of choices. If you order chips as well you'll probably struggle. Best to share... especially if you have a milkshake (very good). Can be busy at times and feel a little rushed but overall a good eat. I would say the best burger in Putney is at the Queen Adelaide pub on Putney Bridge Road.

Well i have now tried them all and am experienced enough to class myself as a burger coneseur. It began when i was a mere child with waves of excitment upon the glance of those bright golden arches and it ended last night at GBK. Like many £11 for a burger, portion of chips and a coke to me no matter how you look at it is not great value. Yes the burger was tasty, the chips were crunchy but ultimetely i felt rushed during my meal and a little short changed when saying goodbye (not that anyone seemed to notice apart from the couple eyeing my table). In summary it fills a gap but leaves you feeling a little empty.

Visited GBK for the first time last week. Really impressed. It was extremely busy so we had to wait about 10 minutes for a table, worth the wait though. The burgers were amazing, large choice on the menu - heavy on the beef although a few chicken and veggie options. The prices were reasonable, roughly £6-7.00 per burger but they are enormous. My boyfriend and I made the mistake of ordering chips to share but to be honest this was probably quite piggy, the burgers are more than enough to contend with. I opted for the chicken satay burger, really yummy and b'friend chose beef with bacon and avocado which looked amazing although probably the equivalent of a cardiac in a bun. There is a good wine list (decent prices) and if you have got room for pudding there is a fairly decent pudding list which didn't look too synthetic or 'bought in'. Definitely would recommend. Only downside was it was rather cramped and wouldn't be ideal for private conversations! The floor was also a teeny bit grubby the evening we were there although to be fair the staff were rushed off their feet, so I did vaguely overlook it this time!

It is a fast-food restaurant, where you have to queue and pay to a cashier before taking a sit... that if you find a table! Tables are small, not much room for your legs! They serve your burger in 5 mins, you eat it in 15 mins and by that time you feel that you should already get going! Unpleasant if you want to have a relaxing lunch / dinner and pay at the end of it…

I eat with friends and family on a regular basis. The burgers, chips and milkshakes are excellent and very good value for money.

The only downside is because Gourment Burger is so good, you may need to queue for 5 or 10 minutes...all good things come to he (or her) who waits!!!

Best burgers you'll find anywhere. Chips, sauces and milkshakes also great. It always seems packed though, so you might have to wait for a table.
