Tierra Peru

I am a Peruvian Limenian 100% and I like to eat proper food, specially good quality food. I went to Tierra Peru with some friends from work (girls night)..the piscos and cocktails are to die for, The food was excellent and succulent, I loved the way the presentation of dishes were served, my friends automatically became fans of Peruvian cuisine. This resttaurant is small but it seems to be always busy, book in advance is advisable, because we saw so many people were turned away and others were waiting to grab a table. No wonder why, the food we had was lovely, full of flavour and I felt as if I was dining in Miraflores (my neighborhood) in Lima, excellent food, I am so excited to see a boom in Peruvian cuisine in London. I recommend this place for people who enjoy a great night out with great cocktails, music and service.

Ps...thanks to the lovely waiter who looked after us on that night he was a bit flirty but in a charming way, he got a double tip! we definetely be back here soon.

I come from the Capital of Peru, Lima, I came down to this little restaurant invited by a english friend who has been also to Peru. The food is great, considering the difficulties this people might face trying to find out key ingredients, the place and servings escape the cheap and traditional peruvian ghettos (peruvians food only for peruvians) and we have loved the way they managed to bring suculent traditional food nice and well presented. The portions were right, just the right amount to make you full and also they leave you a small space to try the dessert.

I Must say in my opinion this is the only Peruvian restaurant that serves original, "quality" food. I have been to other more trendy restaurants in the west end, they are also good but their concep is different. I recommend tis place to people who want to try something different, exciting and full of flavour! Tierra Peru made me a proud Peruvian.

I am a Peruvian and I was looking forward to dining at this restaurant. After being there I was very disappointed. We were four people and we tried different courses. The food didn't taste authentic, the ingredients were not there, for us the food was a cheap and a mediocre imitation to our delicious and rich Peruvian food, the portions were ridiculous small and too expensive and on top of that we were charged on top of our total bill 12.5, although they said it was discretionary it was already added to our bill, when I went to talk to the manager , he was rude and said that Peruvian people never like leaving tips. I always leave tips, but I don't like to be forced. I did not like it there at all, and I would not recommended the food there, only for the simple reason that it is not the real Peruvian food they claim to serve. I will never come back there again, there far more better Peruvian restaurants in London than this one.

I visited the restaurant recently and it was delicious. I had a starter and a main course and i couldn't resist the dessert. I will for sure be back.

I really feel I must share this out.

Had a group day out with about 10 friends,we decided going southamerican and found this restaurant in Islington,read some of the good reviews it had so were really eager to try it out . It did not dissapoint,staff were very attentive,food choice enough considering the huge variety Peruvian cuisine has to offer.Loved how the food was presented in an eye watering show of colours ans smells.I particurlarly loved the "anticuchos" and "aji de gallina",flavours are really exotic and still remember the smells!!!!!overall it is a must try ,every pleased,higly recommended.

I visited this restaurant last week with some colleagues from work and we all had a fantastic time. I have been to Peru but my colleagues hadn't and we all enjoyed the food equally. The ceviche and pisco sours were excellent as was the lomo saltado. The picarones rounded off an authentic, relaxed evening. I highly recommend to anyone who loves good, reasonably priced food.

Lovely food and very friendly convivial atmosphere. The tiradito, cebiche mixto and picante de mariscos are all delicious. Wine list is small and mostly South American but good and reasonably priced. Recommended!

I just came back from eating there, i'm peruvian and i have to say it was very good! almost (or even) the same taste we have in peru! cause was delicious, chaufa de mariscos and tacu tacu were amazing! and the ceviche...needless to say that was an explosion in my mouth! hehe i had a very good time with my 2 british friends i took there, although, the only thing i would suggest is to bring 10 pounds more than the expected as they charge for service. Beside that the service, the food and every was AAA :) congratulations!!!!!!
