Duke of Cambridge (Battersea)

Words fail me to tell you how utterly appalling this pub was. Tuesday night it was quite quiet, apart for a fight breaking out in the corner and police being called. Myself and my friends ordered a simple dish each. Only one meal arrived, no explanation as to why. Finally the waitress explained they'd been a mistake, 45 mins later the other two meals came out. The cod I'd ordered tasted exactly like boil in the bag version I've had whilst camping once-unedible. My first choice was a burger, they'd run out..

The waitress was extremely rude, and did begrudingly give us a free drink each. I know now why the Settle Inn down the road is packed everynight and sadly the Duke of Cambridge needs to take a long hard look at the food side of things.

I live opposite this pub and have been several times and often find myself leaving in a bad mood. The service is terrible - the staff are rude and arrognant. The manager, when we asked him if he could swith TV channels so we could watch the Spurs game. He said no cos he wanted to watch the Old Firm game! So much for the customer service. The food is average and over-priced and the portions arent great. Even though i only live 30 metres away i am vowing never to go back.

My wife and I have eaten here a few times and the food has always been excellent. The servive is friendly (don't know what the other reviewers are wobbling on about) and the value excellent. The only draw-back is that I dropped my phone down the toilet. It might still be there.

What a fabulous wee find. My husband and I have been here a few times and have always had terrific food and great service.We went for Sunday lunch recently with my one year old neice - very family friendly. It is quite expensive and I would have liked preferred to have been told they were out of apple sauce for the pork BEFORE it arrived so I could have chosen something else, but these are just niggles. A great place, ideal for the park and we will certainly be going back.
