Amazing value lunch menu. I had a steak which was as good as I would expect from any Argentinian restaurant, chips and a drink for less than a tenner!! Feeling very full and having to go back to work but I will be back because I didn't get to try a dessert and they looked very good!

I went to the Tango night at La Patagonia, the atmosphere was incredibly friendly and fun, the singer was great and the couple who danced were excellent. All of this while my friends and I were eating some fabulous empanadas and very good value Argentine red wine. i am planning to take some other friends to the next Tango night, I know they will love it....

A bit surprised by the nastiness of the guy who wrote the very long and damning review of this restaurant, it might not be up to the Michelin guide standards but our glasses were spotless, the food delicious and reasonably priced , the music first class, altogether a great night out! Highly recommended !

I went here last night.

this was the 4th time i have been here. I think that the guy who went last night too was just unfortunate as i don't believe this is usual service.

The Steaks seem bigger from 200g to 300g. friendly service

would recommend going!

I went to eat to La Patagonia with 2 friends and by far it was the worst experience ever and because I am very upset I will tell you what to expect in places like this one...

The place: Traditional environment doesn’t means “cheap/dirty”, I don’t think even poundland sells such cheap water glasses, knives, forks...A place can perfectly emulate the old Argentinian restaurants but this is...terrible, fingerprints in the water glasses, tap water...warm! Not even a single cube of ice, the bottle was so dirty that we ended ordering bottles of water.

We ordered 3 different steaks, the 3 of them were very small and miles away from what we asked but...it was too much going on already and we didn’t want to ask for a replacement and spend another 30 minutes in this place, the chips and side order were “just” ok, cheap prices and a big effort to make the food looks stylish but the poor plates and bowls ruined all, no surprise...

We wanted to know what kind of “spirits” they had, in the menu says “Spirits” and that’s all and the waiter named 3 or 4 and went to the bar to take a look and back, when we asked about the brand of one he went back to the bar while he kept doing other stuff...maybe was the time to give up on that matter...

The table was moving a lot and the waiter placed a piece of cardboard under the table leg, maybe that was something to fix beforehand not with us already in the table.

No salt, no pepper, no olive oil, no nothing in the table apart from the glasses and small plates.

The waiting staff acted very slow and confused, 3 waiters randomly coming to our table and leaving food without saying a word, which one was our waiter in the end?...no idea...

We saw one of the waiters taking a “parrilla” to a table with some kitchen gloves sooo dirty of charcoal that it was awful.

In some moment we tried to find the manager to speak about the food but...there is no manager! Only 3 waiters...NO MANAGER! Manager is somebody “managing” the place, nobody was doing that, I really wanted somebody to speak but I was embarrassed enough (I invited my friends to this place) and I only wanted to leave the place.

In the end I think it was the worst meal in years, wasn’t expensive but not enjoyable either, a place to avoid, not professional staff, not anything...

As a huge fan of Argentinian steaks I tell you...AVOID THIS PLACE!

Food is quality and perfectly cooked. Service is friendly and the atmosphere is perfect for a first date and for a feast with your wife and kids. It just suits any night.

Don't die without eating an Argentinean steak.

A carnivore heaven. Lovely grilled meats & rustic interior.

Some have complained service is poor. They have only 2 waiters there when I went, but they were not rude. But the restaurant was only half full, so I can imagine service would be extremely slow if they are busier.

Their wine list is very good, so were the main courses such as black pudding sausages, steaks and sweetbreads. Side dishes eg potatoes & salads and desserts were comparatively mediocre.

Definitely would recommend this place. However please note the open barbeque in the restaurant means your clothes will smell of charcoal afterwards!

Amazing home made pasta! Starters and desserts were the best bits but haven't had a steak that good out of Argentina in a long time (worth the price!)

Lovely food - steaks were perfectly cooked, they hand make the pasta and chorizo sausage on site which were excellent. Please don't leave without having desert - dulce de leche pancake - yum!

This is such a warm friendly place with excellent home cooking.

Recommend sharing several starters, one main meat dish between two, and trying their tiramisu pot. One of us also had a great pasta.
