SERVICE CHARGE IS OPTIONAL!!! When i refused to pay it the man throw my card on the table and started complaining, this was VERY loud and in front of all the customers!!! The food is VERY VERY overpriced! 8£ for a chicken curry ( THIS DOES NOT INCLUDE RICE) and the portions are extremely SMALL!!! The food is of noodle bar quality so should be priced as noodle bar quality. The staff all looked miserable and are not helpful! The DIM SUM is frozen, that is for a fact, just go to SEE WOO wholesaler and you will see EXACTLY the same products for sale.

Just because you serve food on cute little plates it does not mean it can disguise the rubbish food.

I won't be going here again simply because i have been BANNED for refusing to pay the OPTIONAL service charge LOL!!!!

I sent rice back because it was undercooked, then my friend got the same bowl back!!!!! (The bowl had the same chip in it)

I went for dinner at Yi Ban on a Saturday night. It was surprisingly busy considering its relatively remote location.

The atmosphere was warm and convivial. The service was prompt and perfectly satisfactory.

I thought the food was pretty good and authentic. The menu implied Vietnamese cuisine, but the food is Chinese.

Overall I was quite impressed with this restaurant, although I would not go on a Saturday evening again as I was less than impressed with the live musical "entertainment".

The only slight reservation I have (no pun intended) is the value for money is just about acceptable, considering Yi Ban's location.

I went to this restaurant a few months ago and I can say the food is excellent.

You will not be disappointed. Suggest you go on Saturday afternoon or Sunday lunch. On weekdays expect to hear aircraft taking off good if you don't mind seeing planes and good for observations if you are a plane spotter or keep kids occupied and interested..... but if you live in docklands, you are sick to hear another aircraft take off.

The atmosphere was great and table layout spacious. The food a little expensive for the area. Ours came to £40 for two (my budget is a little lower).

I think they have special offers for lunch etc...

This is a good restaurant for celebrating birthday and groups etc...

I had gone there when Yi-Ban opened and it was crap, all I can say is that the food is excellent. There is parking. There is a station and only 1minutes walk to Royal Albert DLR.

Also, nice to go for a talk along the dock, though it can be a little chilly at night.

Popped in on Friday night with my wife and without a reservation... although the place was busy, they made it seem that it was no trouble organizing a table for us. The service was excellent, staff were extremely polite, and the service was timely without being at all pushy.

We had delicious duck pancakes to start (really a lot for £6), then two really nice main course dishes with some fantastic noodles, cocktails and a few soft drinks (I was driving... did I mention it has a free car park?!). All in, £50.

There was a guy singing to taped music, and we were suspicious at first, but from his second song he was excellent, and didn't stop for our entire meal.

The view over the runway of City Airport is also fascinating, and totally unique.

Loved it. We'll be back.

I went here for valentines day and had a really great time, the service wasn't amazing because they were so busy, but it wasn't bad either, they were really polite too and weren't that fussy when we turned up an hour late after rescheduling the time twice! the food was very nice and we got a lot of it for the meal. Really worth it and had a great atmosphere overlooking the river, with a singer performing there on the night too because of the day! The chef was helpful too by cooking fried rice they served without pork too, we had a great time, worth it!!
