our review
Agnar Sverrisson and Xavier Rousset have opened a second 28-50 wine bar and kitchen in Marylebone. Spread over two floors, the new venue features two dining rooms and a 12-seater bar. The menu offers classic French dishes and the extensive wine list offers plenty of choice by the bottle, glass and carafe.

The food was good and reasonably priced for the area - we had the charcuterie board, aubergine starter, poussin, onglet steak, chips and chocolate tart and creme brulee to finish along with two carafes of wine between 3 of us. But the rude staff (twice within the same month) have made me never want to return. The waitress turned away my friends who were early saying there was no room to wait despite having several tables empty. Then another waitress was not helpful with the menu, barely stopped at our table despite our numerous attempts to get her attention to order dessert and she became irritated when I asked her to split our bill in thirds. With so many other places in Marylebone competing for business, why bother going somewhere with rude staff?

Very nice set up, with a bar in the centre, a few high wooden tables and small tables all around by the large windows. Food is quite good but the menu is generally uninspiring. The large selection of wines by the glass or caraffe (250ml) is the perfect way to allow customers to try a few different wines (thumbs up!). Overall, some good ideas but pretty much like any other new London restaurants. Service is not great and personnel not really enthusiastic: a shame because it could have made all the difference.
