This place is amazing. We went for the first time last weekend and will definitely be back. Great cocktails (£5 during happy hour), wonderful service and some of the best beef I've had in ages. The chataubriand for two was as good as Hawksmoor or Goodman and it comes with a choice of six out of the twenty or so sauces (I recommend the bacon, BBQ, truffle, whisky and the wild mushroom and cognac). The vibe in the pub was great as well with an awesome DJ playing everything from house to swing and brass band. We're coming back for sure.

We took my mother for Sunday lunch here after reading some good reviews online. On arrival, the friendly waiter in the restaurant said it was full because a large party were in, so we sat in the bar. And the venue is really nice and a bit different. Staff seemed nice, but it all went downhill from there. Orders taken relatively quickly but quite a wait for watery soup, billed as pea and ham to arrive. Then another long wait for the greasy Sunday lunches to come. The pork looked as though it had been pre cut and then flash heated before serving. The chicken was just a chicken portion. Gravy very fatty and all the vegetables had this kind of funky taste. It all seemed as though it had been frozen. Yorkshire pud was nice, but even the roasts didn't seem fresh. Staff were, as I have said, very nice. To be fair to the place, the server did ask if we had enjoyed the meal and we said 'fine' not least because it was so cold in there, we wanted to get back to the car to get warm. It actually took 3 attempts to get the bill and then we walked to the bar to pay in the end when nobody came to take it. And the price? 2 courses and one or two drinks each a shade under ninety quid! I'm afraid we won't be back.

After hearing a lot of good stuff about this restaurant, I couldnt resist going to sample the food. On arrival my girlfriend and I were greeted with smiley faces and were shown to our table. The restaurant is absolutely beautiful. From the chandelier to the lighting feature on the wall, I was already looking forward to what I was going to eat! I ordered the sirloin steak and my girlfriend had the fillet and we shared a selection of sauces that come in separate pots. I was so impressed! The steak you could tell was of great quality and the sauces were lovely! As for the service....all i can say is it was faultless. I would definitely recommend this venue to all my friends, as it was a fabulous evening.

I've never made the effort to write an online review for a restaurant before but following my experience last night, I felt I needed to. My boyfriend and I love steak and cocktails so after looking this place up we decided to give it a go.
We were welcomed by a very attentive waiter and I should say that anything bad I have to say does not really reflect on the service. I can't really fault the waiters.
However, we were both very disappointed with our steaks. They had clearly been frozen. My boyfriend had what they told him was the last piece of rump. We both know our steak and know that rump is not the most tender of cuts but this was incredible. I've never known such a chewy tough piece of meat. Not normally one for complaining, my boyfriend mentioned this to the waiter who at first tried to say it was because it was rump but we assured him it must be a bad end piece and he then offered to give him a sirloin instead. The sirloin arrived and was an improvement but still clearly been frozen. My fillet was nice but not amazing and the texture of it also would suggest it had been frozen. Definitely not worth £25. Nowhere near. Even the "hand-cut thrice cooked chip" had obviously been frozen. Having said that, the waiter did also offer us both free espresso martinis which were nice. Although his colleague who had been attending to us before that lost all interest after this point. The food on the whole was extremely disappointing and nowhere near worth the £103 bill. I would recommend the place for drinks. But do not eat here if you like your steaks. You will be disappointed.

From the moment you enter this venue, to the moment you leave, every part of the experience has its own individual and endearing edge! The decor is wonderfully unique and the atmosphere buzzing. This was the perfect place to celebrate a special occasion, as it was my birthday, and I can hardly wait to return. I had the fillet steak and wanted to try something different, so i ordered the strawberry sauce to go with it. A little dubious but wanting to try something new, I couldn't believe how well the sauce accompanied the steak (which was cooked to perfection!). The cocktails were flowing throughout the evening, each one with its own unique twist on a classic drink! To top it off the service was amazing, a special mention to the manager Olivier who consistently made sure we were content and satisfied with our meal.
I couldn't recommend this place enough and am already planning my next vist! So great to see somewhere local that has delivers a playful and fun experience!
Thanks again and see you soon!!

After seeing a special offer for this restaurant, myself and a few friends decided we would try it as we all love steak and cocktails.
We went into the restaurant and were not welcomed so just sat at the biggest table ( there were only about 8 tables and as we were the only large party we assumed it was ours)
We were then given menus and left to it, the waiter was not particularly helpful and did not offer help, you had to ask. Considering it is a new restaurant, you think they would have wanted to show off all their wonderful sauces and steaks.
We were given no guidance but proceeded to order our chosen meals, we were then given a drink with our starters, which were fantastic.
We had all ordered steaks, so when they arrived they didn't know who's were who's, no problem. I received my 'medium-rare' steak which can only be described as well done. I said this to the waiter and he said no this is medium-rare, I did go on to try the steak but then called him over again to make him aware - he said he couldn't do anything about it anyway because they had run out of fillet steak.
Well we were the first ones to sit down in the restaurant that night and 5 of us had ordered fillet steaks, if they only had that many for a steak restaurant, then what's the point?
I did not like his tone and how he insulted my intelligence, the manager was just as unhelpful and how they kept saying was that 'well I had had it on an offer' like that makes it better? None of my friends steaks were cooked right either, but they were edible. I left half of mine and then was still charged full whack.
The other thing about the restaurant, is that as there are only 8 tables there is no atmosphere whatsoever and it is a strange set-up, I don't think it will last long.
Needless to say, I will not be going back here, and I will not recommend it either.
