Meze Mangal Restaurant

My absolute favourite local restaurant, Meze Mangal is an undiscovered gem! They serve good honest tasty food, well presented, and very reasonably priced. The atmosphere is great, with the guys tending to the open grill and the huge stone oven, and Turkish-Londoners having family get togethers - it's almost like you're on holiday! I'm going back tonight and I can't wait to get stuck into the Lahmacan. Be sure to book.

I agree with My Myoo and Mr Neil, this place is excellent... probably my favorite restaurent in London. The food is very very good, the bets Turkish/Lebanese food I've ever had. The staff are very friendly too, book ahead!

I've been going to this place for years with friends. The staff always have a warm welcome, greeting us with a smile and a handshake...the food is authentic and excellent, not to mention great value for money.

Don't be put off by the location..it's in an inconspicuous place on a main road in not the pretties of areas but that is no bearing on a great restaurant.

Even the expensive Middle Eastern restaurants in Central London or anywhere else for that matter, aren't a patch on this.

I've eaten at hundreds of restaurants in London, covering all budgets, and have to say that the food and service here is by far the best. The food is great and very well priced. The staff are attentive and make you feel so at ease and relaxed that you'll feel like your in your own house. You can spend hours here with friends eating and having a good time, or just pop in for a quick take away. The great thing about this place is that they're sometimes open until the early hours of the morning as well, so when you need food at 1am, you wont find anything better than this place thats for sure!

I've been coming here for over 7 years and dont intend to stop!

I would reccomend the lachmucan for starters and the mixed beyti as a main.

Definitely one of the best turkish restaurants in London so far.

Great food, friendly service! The layout and decor is not necessarily the best but the food and service definitely make up for it.

The positive reviews of this place are definitely true.

A great restaurant that serves good food (especially the pide) and is always busy. Staff are extremely friendly and you are always welcomed with a big smile. Service is always quick and it caters well for big parties and small. Great value for money too

Fantastic Food - Fantastic Staff!!

This place never fails to deliver! Went last night with my family and my husbands parents and we thoroughly enjoyed the food and the atmosphere - as always!

We have visited on many occasions and quite often will make the 45minute round trip just to get some Lahmacun (Turkish Pizza) to take away!!! Thats how good it is!!

Can't wait till our next visit!

The lamb was delicious; seasoned just right. I must admit I was very impressed with the squid dish starter; fresh, tasty and tender. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It's a very busy place and booking is recommended as I found last week when I was turned down a table for two as it was fully booked. One of the best choice in SouthEast London. Value for money.
