Some staff are a bit rude and slow but the food, value for money, and atmosphere was worth going. thumbs up.

Meze Mangal is excellent value for money. Large portions, quality meat, veg and salads, and lots of Turkish atmosphere. Not bad for a restaurant in Lewisham. It certainly gives the Efes chain a run for its money. Went there last week (yes before the riots) with a very difficult to please friend. She likes to mention the quality food in Switzerland at least twice in each sentence. For a change she ate without talking too much. Will visit again and again. No frills or airs or graces. Just good food and great hospitality.

We went for to Meze Mangal for the first time last night, the top floor was packed & really buzzy. Make sure you book. The food was excellent, meat was really tender. A carnivores heaven. We will return many more times, I'm sure.

I live 8 mins walk away and have been eating regularly at Meze Mangal since it first opened many years ago. I have never been disappointed and bring many friends, neighbours and visiting family there. Sahin and staff are welcoming, efficient and warm. The food is reasonably priced, freshly cooked and their bread is superb - just out of the oven.

Well done and thank you Sahin and family!

Wonderful find, 15 minutes from my house. Superb food, great to see the fire pit (if you're a single diner it seems you can sit, overlooking the guy bbq'ing the food - will def do this.) We ate well, with wine £42. Excellent value.

Recently went to Meze Mangal - my third visit. Love this restaurant - good, clean food, friendly attentive service. Nice atmosphere especially with the open oven, and kebab grill. Lovely red wine too - Yakut. Would definitely recommend this.

Dos Hermanos

Dos Hermanos

Friday, July 30, 2010 - In the taste stakes vying for first place were the Adana - perfect texture with spicing just so - and the freshly grilled quail halves which were hot, sticky and salty. I could have done with a little more of the other lamb components but ribs and chops were done well with crisp fat and properly seasoned. Kidneys were a little over pink but fresh tasting and not at all rubbery. Grilled Peppers had a good char giving them a beautifully smoky taste followed by a surprisingly big heat kick. Salad was a bit style over substance.
