It should be said the food with the exception of the Duck Penne was excellent, unfortunately the same cannot be said of the service. Our waiter had forgotten his Italian training and was bordering on rude, slamming down plates, snatching menus and hurrying us through our meal, hopefully he was just having a bad day but it spoilt what could have been a very nice evening for our large party celebrating my sister's birthday.

I so wanted to love this restaurant - I expected the big Italian welcome, with friendly smiling waiters and a family atmosphere, but unfortunately that wasn't what we received. I was in a large group with several children, but right from the start our waiter, who was very efficient it must be said, was not friendly in the least. The restaurant wasn't full at 6pm, so I think the odd smile or welcoming comment from him wouldn't have been too much to ask. The food was served in quick succession, and overall we enjoyed it, just not sure we would go there again
