I used to love going to Castellos, was there at least once at week but not anymore!! the food is still beautiful but as for the service - the waiters need to get some manners! Ive noticed if your a regular customer you get served over anyone else and get five star service! I waited for at least 25 minutes until someone came over and asked me if i was ready to order. My grandad went away very angry as he was rushed into making an order, the waiter continued to roll his eyes each time my grandad changed his mind (twice!) If you want lovely food its the place to go but not if you want poor service to go with it!!

Not the place for a relaxing meal, chaotic, noisy and crowded especially when half way through our desserts and only 55-minutes after sitting down we were asked 'How much longer we needed to finish our meal'. This was to accomodate the large group next to us who had brought more people than they had booked for. The restaurant should not have allowed us to feel it was our resposibility to rectify this situation.

We come here once a year for my friend's birthday. The food is great as ever with generous portions but the service has definately slipped. We'd usually tip fifty quid plus as there's a lot of us but tonight... Doubtful

I've to disagree with some of the previous revious for this Restaurant, because I go very often there and I really enjoy everything in there; the food, the service, the atmosphere and the value for money.

I never have been dissapointed from that place and I'm sure that I will never be.

It's the only place where I celebrate any ocasion with my friend's and my family.

I also have done a private party over there, and it has been amazing, couse it's a big place, where we had enough room to seat, and even a lot of place in the middle to dance.

So, all what I can say, about Pizzeria Castello is, that you can't find any better place in that area, as good as Castello is.

We went to Castello last friday, and i can honestly say i will not be going back ever again. The service was disgraceful, the food was less than mediocre. There were 8 of us and they couldn't manage to serve any of our courses together, there were always a couple of us waiting, i thought i would be wearing a dish at any moment the way the miserable waiter kept on leaning across my to serve others. Avoid at all costs

I have been visiting pizzeria castello and now ristorante castello since 1983. Since then I have moved from working at St Thomas's in London to Manchester Royal Infirmary. Despite this, the experience at the 'castello' has been consistently excellent. The service and cuisine have been 'proper' London-Italian throughout. I am glad to say that the next generation of our family is about to embark on this special anglo-italian odyssey as my kids embark on their university careers. Thank you 'castello'.
