I've eaten here several times over the last ten years, as my first choice of local restaurant when visiting the British Museum. The food is good quality and the prices are very reasonable for the area. I've never had any problems with the service, including one occasion when I was part of a large party.

This was a local favourite for one of our party who lives on Museum Street. Sadly, last night, we were very disappointed & it was complete rubbish - food is sub-standard - & the some dishes were the worst attempts at Thai cuisine we have ever tasted, namely the green beef curry, the traditional thai chili salad which finally came after the poor excuse for starters over an hour later, with no apologies or explanation or any gesture of compensation for the non-existent. service..after numerous complaints & £118.50 later for 5 - WE SHALL NEVER RETURN!!!! Needless to say we did not tip - nor did the waitress expect it....

I visited recently on a Friday night and was surprised to get a table quickly. The service was good but the waitress was rather inattentive. We ordered a set menu, at £30 for two it was excellent value but far too much food (not that I'm complaining). The starters were very tasty, while the mains were good but nothing special.

Overall, competent food and excellent value for money; the place was the usual decor one would expect, but not worth a special evening out.

My colleagues and I frequent this lovely quaint restaurant close to the British museum. Their set lunches are very reasonably priced.

We ate at this small place a little while back - it was surprisingly good! We were visiting the British Museum and wanted something calm and away from the crowds. The staff were wonderful and the food was fresh and lovely. I had a green curry dish that was very mild, it was really nice! The staff were even kind enough to accommodate for a six year old - she ate some sticky rice and a selection of starters - as well as eating off our plates! She really enjoyed the meal as well. I would definitely go back when in the area again. The bill was reasonable, but a slight pricey; but I wouldn't expect less in that area of London.

Cafe style restaurant with good unobtrusive aircon - we had the vegetarian special - platefulls of it but it was excellent, subtle flavours washed down with a good bottle of inexpensive wine - good value, service fine and recommended

I've had three very satisfying dinners here.

The menu is more varied and flavourful than most of the Anglicised or pan-Asian attempts at Thai food that I've tried in London.

Bring your friends so you can order one of the combinations; the seafood combo (A) was more than we could eat.

Thai garden cafe' is a surprising gem located on Museum street. I really enjoyed dining at this restaurant. As I'm a Thai, I can truly say that the food was authentic and amazingly delish. I've been to several Thai restaurants, and I think Thai Garden Cafe serves is the best Thai food. The prices are also very reasonable. Though it is not a big restaurant, it always seems to have just the right amount of customers so that it's pretty comfy. I've been there 5 times and I will definitely go again! Highly recommended!

For an informal quick bite to eat, this cosy café is ideal. Two minutes from the British Museum, it is ideal for a light lunch after a cultured morning! The service is prompt and friendly and the food is very good, with most meals coming to no more than £20 a head. The menu is useful for beginners with chili ratings alongside the spicier menu options. The green curry was fantastic, and not too hot, and the traditional Pad Thai was delicately flavoured with plump juicy prawns.

The location means you'd never find it by chance, but the service was good. Food was so-so, and the atmosphere was pretty bland. Cheap and cheerful.
