The Case Is Altered Pub & Dining Room
your comments review this restaurant and win a bottle of champagne
Went in the restaurant and a couple who had ordered their sausage & mash over 20 minutes were complaining. We ordered our drinks.. a bottle of wine, a soft drink & glass of water. The soft drink came quickly. The water was very warm. The wine came after prompting all three staff, finally we got the bottle unopened. We ordered papadams, raita and salad. This came 20 mins later and the food followed less than 2 minutes later even though when we were asked we asked if they could bring it in few minutes to give us a chance to eat the papadam. The service in general was lousy. The staff have obviously not been trained up. No manager to resolve matters. They just say sorry to everything and that is it. The bill was £55 for 3 people! Extortionate!

Food is always enjoyable, much better than the rubbish found at any ordinary pub.
Fantastic beer garden on a quiet road, where I love to do my physics work.
The beer is always perfect, never had a bad pint here, very clean lines and not watered down.
All the staff are really friendly and provide great service.

The owners claim to have refurbished this pub.
The work appears to consist of having installed two large television screens, one in the bar and one in the eating area, which prevent any chance of a quiet evening's conversation with friends and family.
The seating is old, uncomfortable and badly arranged. The food portions are small and overpriced.
This is not a pub I would recommend if you like to get away from the television and have a comfortable evening out!
