The Ebury Restaurant & Wine Bar

Our evening meal at The Ebury began well. Very pleasant waiting staff. We also found the decor unusual and interesting. For some reason, ours was the only table with no daffodils. We were also given a pretend candle which wasn't very tasteful. Starters and main courses were lovely and beautifully presented. I had seared scallops which were perhaps the best I have ever had. Delicious accompanying puree. Then it all went wrong when our cheese took about half an hour to arrive. I do not understand this as cheese does not have to be cooked. The waitress could then be seen at the bar delving into an orange plastic biscuit tin. The long wait meant that we then had to leave very suddenly. A pity.
