This is the worst visit ever to Big Easy, I have been on several occasions to both branches Covent Garden & Kings Road.

Myself & a group of work colleagues visited on 28.11.14 as a pre B'day treat for the late night special, only to be told that they had run out of steak (scratching my head) how does that happen? firstly we visited on a friday night probably one of the most busiest eve as well, secondly its pre christmas time when Covent Garden is at its liveliest & the most well known item on the menu for Big Easy they ran out of....... STEAK.

Even when we asked to speak to the manager he wasnt bothered about our complaint or even try & offer an alternative steak meal.

He just wasnt interested & showed a lack of interest, considering he was the manager.

As for the Customer Service from our waitress she definitely scored 3/10 upon finishing our meal we were rushed to pay the bill, we wasnt offered any hand wipes which we requested up to 2 times, the bill was incorrect and we felt everyththing was being rushed cause our waitress had finished her shift & just wanted to go home & to make matters worse we wasnt even offered the dessert menu even though we requested it, the dessert menus just never arrived to our table.

This has to be the worst friday night out for 2014 lets hope 2015 is better!!!!!

So....Great bar with great mixologists. Good front of house. Average service at the tables - tend to forget to take away things and you have to try to get their attention - especially as the night wears on and the place fills up.

The food is average. We had wings, crab, the BBQ platter/combo and 'Limitless' shrimp. The crab was great (but let's be honest, its quite hard to balls up boiling a crab). The BBQ chicken wings were a bit of a non-event - bland really. BBQ meat was a bit dry and had been over-smoked. The meat was not soft and did not fall away from the bone as one expects with good BBQ. The BBQ beans were unpleasant - very sour. The BBQ sauce was also overly sour. The coldslaw was okay but tasted of cream cheese for some bizarre reason - wasn't unpleasant but was just a bit off-putting.

The Limitless Shrimp (a Tuesday event) was a nonsense. They serve 8 large shrimp in a basket with chips and coleslaw. The chips aren't great - reminded me of oven chips. The shrimp were great - big and juicy in a light crisp batter. However, upon asking for a refill - its Limitless Shrimp night after all (for £18), I had to wait 15mins for the waiter to return with 3 shrimp. I thought maybe this was just a 'glitch' in the kitchen, so ordered again from a different waiter.....nope, another 15minute wait and another 3 shrimp brought to the table. It transpires this is policy. So, in actual fact the Limitless Shrimp deal for £18 is utterly disingenuous - its irritating in the extreme to have to eat 3 shrimp and wait 15mins for another 3 shrimp every time when you've come to feast on the little blighters! Not to mention impractical - I'd have been there all night to have my fill. So, I didn't pay for the limitless shrimp and to give them their due, they agreed to only charge me £8. The waitress was in complete agreement it was a stupid policy though - management need to wise up.

On balance, there are better BBQ places and better seafood places in London. I'd go back to the bar but I'd eat elsewhere in the future.

We were all served starters separately, 2 had mussels which were stone cold and then reheated, not a good idea with seafood. They were sent back yet again. Three had steaks, one without chips as requested. Two steaks were cold, one was incorrect and not what was ordered. Again they were sent back. Half our party ate their main courses while the other waited for the steaks which came back, one being incorrect again. Two hours after arriving, our steaks appeared but to be honest by then, we had lost any appetite and were completely amazed by the woeful service, dreadful food and complete lack of any professionalism. We are all in our 50's, are not quick to judge but cannot say anything other than how unbelievably bad this 'Restaurant' is....DO NOT waste your time, effort and money. AVOID!!!
