We visited on a Sunday when the restaurant was fairly quiet and had the tasting menus. Our welcome into the restaurant was very poor and fairly surly which set the tone for most of the evening.

Service was mostly good although a bit inconsistent. Perhaps we were there on an off night. I thought the food was good although expensive for what it was. I loved the decor and the feel of the place - a bit different from your average place.

I took my husband to Rasoi for a birthday meal and as lovers of Indian food and fine dining, we both agreed that the Gourmand Menu was not only the best Indian food we have ever eaten but also one is one of the best meals we have experienced after that of the Fat Duck. Superb spicing, ingenious and inspiring dishes and the foie gras was to die for. An intimate, atmospheric restaurant with excellent service - definitely worth a visit.

I took my wife to Rasoi for her birthday and we had a wonderful time.

Our table was in the smaller section of the restaurant and we felt that the atmosphere was quiet and romantic which we really liked. We didn't have to shout to make ourselves heard, unlike so many modern restaurants these days.

The service was excellent, both friendly and attentive, right from the start. Just the right amount of attention throughout our meal, so we felt we had enough privacy.

We opted for the slightly more expensive Gourmand (taster) menu. We loved the spice crusted scallop and tandoori lobster dishes in particular, and the rose petal sorbet was fantastic, although we weren't too keen on the black chicken tikka which we felt was slightly overdone, and we felt the choco capsule was a bit of a let down at the end.

Overall we thought the Rasoi was really very good. However, we're not sure it was quite worth the price tag of £85 per head, especially as the portions were quite small and we often wished we had a bit more - that's why we gave it a 7/10 for value.

We would definitely go back and try some of the options from the A La Carte menu.

My and the Wife went here on 29/12 to Celebrate our anniversary. We both love Indian food, and have previously eaten at Tamarind.

At the end of the meal we both shared the same sentiment: 'the best food we have ever had!'.

Everything was fantastic, we had Street Food Chaat and Lamb Duo to start, the Lamb was sublime but the Chaats were out of the world.

Mains and desert were on the same delicious level as the starters.

Oh and the service was faultless.

The only suggestion we would make would be to have quiet background music, but this is only a tiny point.

Amazing food prepared with so much love!

Been there only three weeks ago and had one of the best dinner so far, great service, attentive and charming, lots of wine are on the higher end but you will find still a great amount wine even for around £30 to £60 per bottle...

We did chose our dishes from the a la carte and did regret a little not to have taken the Gourmand menu, as one of our neighbor table, it did look fabulous.

Coming here form oversea only for there days in London we made the right call to book a table in this very unique restaurant.

Excellent food, beautifully presented but extremely expensive with a vastly overpriced wine list. The tasting menu is £80 a head and an average priced bottle of wine is £70. Half our table chose the tasting menu, whilst the rest of us ate from the main menu which was delicious however we all rather disappointed with the very slow service (the tasting menu is 8 courses with approx 20 minutes between each course) and then the astronomical bill.

best indian meal in the world. will not find any better. its really expensive but really thats what you have to pay to get that quality of indian food.

amaya, chutney mary, portes des indes all suck in comparison. tamarind is ok but definitely not as good as this place.

We ate here recently and it was the best meal we have had in london. We were well aware that it would be expensive because that's what you would expect from a Michelin restaurant? right? Why do people think any different.?

We had the tasting menu and it was amazing. Being Indian it was so nice to see spices used in an innovative way.

The service was excellent and not over bearing. The only down side was that there wasn't much of an atmosphere and it was very quiet . However, that would not stop us from going back.

Spicing here is delicate and subtle, but not so much as to be utterly underwhelming as it can be in some high ends Indians. Seafood is more of their forte, with big juicy scallops very well cooked on a recent visit, but not all elements work, which they should at this level, eg a cauliflower mousse was an unpleasant texture as part of the scallop dish. A maincourse seabass was also very well cooked, but let down a bit by having the skin on, not pleasant when its not crispy. Desserts are not particularly Indian, though they have a touch of influence and are very good. Overall the cooking hits some very high standards but you do pay through the nose for it and its not quite spot on. A tip- go for the later sitting when its much buzzier.

Fancy food, nice taste and texture. Just, it does seem a little too fussy. If you like 'proper' indian food then do not come here. If you fancy something different then give it a go. However, even for a Western influenced joint, this place is not the best in London.
