The food is agreeable and sometimes verges on the good, with delicate flavours and subtle combinations. The service is attentive and friendly, and the atmosphere pleasant and discrete. The winelist is the main disappointment, with ordinary wines being passed off at frankly silly prices.

Taken overall however, this must amount to the most ridiculously overpriced restaurant in London, with the stratospheric bill quite out of proportion with the admiitedly perfectly good (although not exceptional) quality. It seems to be a restaurant conceived in the pre-credit crunch era, and it is very hard indeed to see how these pricing levels will survive more critical times. I am understating the case - simply stated, it is just absurd!

The location is fantastic, hidden behind in the residential heart of Chelsea. The site used to be the great but little visited English Garden. The tables are a little closer than what I consider as perfect. Food was outstanding with a great use of spices which eventuate the flavour of every dish. The portions are certainly generous and I had to take some food home afterwards. Well worth a visit but probably consider Amaya up the road.

This is a restaurant of extremes. This is the most expensive Indian restaurant I have experienced. Whlst that in itself would be unimportant if the food were good, unfortunatelty the food was the worst Indian food I have ever eaten. The rice was microwaved, and most dishes especially the lentils were bland. The nan bread was awful and tasteless. The restaurant had a peculiar unpleasant smell My verdict... dont even try it.

I headed for Rasoi hearing the Vineet Bhatia was the one who got the Michelin star for Zaika. However, I was not very impressed. The staff are very good and always available if you need anything but the food was not up to the mark. Indian food is all about the spices in it, which makes it rich and finger licking, and something that you can get a feel of with it's smell. Sadly, the food at Rasoi did not spice up my tongue with it's rich flavour. It was any other ordinary Indian food or probably slightly worse. The entree was very good but the main course lacked everything mentioned above. The dessert was good but the tea after that was not very hot or strong and lacked that rich Indian taste

Being a frequent flier, I had heard of Rasoi Vineet Bhatia from the dishes he had created for British Airways (I think its called the BA culinary council). I liked them, and always told my wife about them, so two months ago, as a birthday present, she booked a table. About a week before we went whe said "I guess we should read some reviews". Oh no! There was this litany of poor reviews, compaints about rubbery scallops, the fish pie was horrible, this was wrong, that was wrong. We were dismayed. Should we cancel? We didnt, and thank goodness. Last night we visited RVB. I eat out all over the world and I can tell you it was a meal I will remember for a long time. The food was delicate, innovative, and faultlessly prepared. The scallops parted on the knife like they were butter. The Seafood biryani pie was stunning. The service was unobtrusive, prompt, not rushed, and certainly not patronising. The sommelier was fun and well informed: he'll tell you as much as he feels you want to know, and if you are interested, he'll go for it. If your'e not - he'll just pour. I thought it was great. Yes, its expensive. But it's London for goodness sake. We will go back. When we can afford it.

Whoever is rated this restaurant needs to have his pallet checked. The food was nothing short of dissapointing. Overpriced and overrared would be the understatement of the year.

After paying £85 per head - one does deserve some serious cooking like Petrus, Le Gavroche or even Boxwood Cafe. Extremely disappointing cooking and place.

Unfortunately, we did not have a memourable dinner the last time we visited Rasoi Bhatia. Neither the food nor the service were up to the standards of a Michelin starred venue. The Rasoi platter for two is simply a rip off, the worst part being a terribly soggy and insipid vegetable tempura. Mains were better but not outstanding and the dessert menu is pretty inspiring. The atmosphere of our uptairs room was cosy but all in all hardly worth the £173 we paid for three. Service deserves a special mention, in particular the young lady at the door who led us upstairs coats and scarves on and make us to move the table ourselves to access one of the seats. I really doubt that a Michelin star can be kept with standard of service and food. It is definitely far behind similarly priced venues. We will not bee back in a loooooooong while.

A jewel among Indian Restaurants! We are (very spoiled) and critical indian food lovers, and can fully recommend this restaurant which indeed, offers a "sensation of flavours". The service was very attentive, professional and polite. The restaurant deco is ok, not overladden, tables are a bit too small and to close to each other - if you can live with that - you will enjoy one of the greatest indian cuisine one can hope for.

If you are looking for an indian restaurant with a very big twist, i would suggest going to Rasoi. The interior is just superb! The cutlery is very imaginative, however the food was slightly disappointing. This is an indian restaurant which is trying to do a bit too much! The food is so distant from realy authentic indian food that i would actually call this a modern european restaurant. The food is nice, without a doubt, however this is not an Indian restaurant. I asked for nan bread, and got nan with basil! Basil is not an indian spice and does not go (and never will go) with indian food - i asked the waiters to get me a nan with corriander on it! On a good note, the food is great and very imaginative, the service is attentive - the staff tend to tip-toe around the customers so you dont notice them! The staff also take criticism and set backs in their stride - where there is usually an arrogance with indian restuarants, this one lacks that arrogance. I would highly recommend booking a table in advance, and would also recommend this for couples and small groups. The indian tea ice cream with chocolate samosa was divine!! And i would also strongly recommend going for the 7-course gourmet dining option! Although this is a little pricey, it is worth the extra pennies for a memorable night.
