This is definitely the best Thai food outside of Thailand. Can't rate it highly enough.

Went last night with friends from abroad. We all enjoy Thai food very much. What to say except that the food is absolutely delicious. We shared mix starter for 3. Tempura king prawns were to die for. Battered squid soft & yummy. I don't eat meat so unfortunately can not comment on chicken and pork they had - but they assured me that it was tender and delicous. For mains I had one of the specials -grilled king prawns in green curry paste with coconut and runner beans and thai aubergine. Vegetables were so crunchy, green paste hot just as I like it - sumptous meal. If you haven't tried it yet, you definitely should.

The best Thai food I have eaten outside Thailand. It's mouth watering deliciousness. Havent had a bad dish there.
Friendly staff, good service, very reasonably priced.
It's where we take everyone who comes to visit. My best friend, who is not a fan of Thai food and vegetarian, was converted by the grub at Tumnan Thai.
You wont be disappointed!

Well, what can I say!!! The food is absolutely wonderful. I have been to numerous other Thai restaurants across London and I have to say the food here is exceptional and the staff are also just as good. The food is fresh and cooked to perfection.

I would agree with the other reviewers here - my experience at the Tumnan Thai was nothing short of exceptional.
After having trawled this site I was a little cynical and sceptical about pretty much every restaurant due to the mix of negative and postivie reviews. With the Tumnan Thai, it's suggested price, location and host of good reviews here made me feel that it had to be too good to be true. Phoning at 7pm on a Saturday night and having no problem reserving a table for two for 8.30 added to this feel.
However, the atmosphere (relaxed, low key and cosy), the service, the food, the prices, and just about every other restaurant variable that could come into play was fantastic - and all for £57. Consider that this included 3 starters, 3 mains, a bottle of mid-list wine, water and a beer and a night out at the Tumnan Thai is a mouth watering prospect even now writing this. I still cannot believe that this place had only half of its tables occupied at prime time on a Saturday.
The only thing I would point out to any one who has not experienced a range of Thai food however, is that that Fish Cake starters which sound so tempting from the menu are nothing like what you will be served in most gastro-pubs in the UK. I made the same mistake here that I did in a lovely island restaurant in Ko Chang earlier this year and ordered the slightly chewy flat and dark brown cakes, which look more like the the cooked burgers from the freezer department in your local supermarket. Not for my taste, but surely for some, the warning here is not to expect what you expect.
That said the vegetarian Phad Thai is to die for (which we had as to make it more of a side dish than the uusal protein rich mainstay).

Dined here unexpectedly looking for a decent restaurant on the fly. The restaurant looked rather gorgeous and the inviting from outside. The menu looks easy to read and straight forward to understand before walking through the doors. Walking through the doors I easy faced with a warm and rather serene atmosphere with soft music in the background. The waiters and staff are courteous, pleasant make one at home and most importantly make one want to return sometimes soon or in future.
The food was yummy, sumptuous and delicious. I will recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a pleasant ambience to have conversation and eat rather delicious Thai dishes. I would give this restaurant 5 out of 5 in terms of quality of service and quality of food.

This is one of my favorite places to go and eat, I crave their food on a regular basis it is so yummy. I moved away from the area a couple of months ago but still travel back regularly. I don't know anywhere else where there is such a good mix of food and atmosphere and all at a very resonable price!
