Eds Easy Diner (Soho)

Went last night. 9:45 on a Friday in the West End. It should have been packed. The only other diner was a member of staff. I am not surprised. This, by a long way, is the worst burger I have had for a very long time. Overcooked, underseasoned, poor quality meat. Unremittingly awful. Not a patch on previous visits to this chain. Avoid.

Eds is the best place to chow down in London, great food, great music and at a really fair price!!!
The milkshakes are the best thing on the menu, served in a huge metal jug just like in the 50s and 60s!!
Always worth a visit when your in London Town!

I am a visitor here in the UK. I passed by Ed's to eat as I was shopping around one day. I figured it was a diner, so it wouldn't be costing too much. It definitely cost more than I had expected for a plain burger and a milkshake. However, their Bailey Oreo Cookies milkshake was phenomenal. The staff was very friendly and had a good attitude. So now when I get in town, I simply always go in for the milkshake.

Really disappointing. Thought burgers were their forte! You know something is wrong when you asked for medium and it comes back well done. Buns were too dry as well. Didn’t try their famous milkshake but maybe I shouldnt expect too much at these prices. Service was quick & polite.

Went here yesterday and felt compelled to write a review to save others the time and money, my advice would be keep walking to the nearest burger king/mc d's/guy on corner selling hotdogs.
firstly there is a shortage on seating.
my banana and chocolate milkshake tasted sickeningly sweet warm and like vanilla. when i told the staff they offered to put in another scoop of powder flavouring, nice. it still tasted awful.
the chips and cheese are infact greasey chips covered in a cheese sauce with the same consistancy of custard. the burger was very poor quality.
to top this whole experience off we were presented with a pricey bill, which cheekily chaged for extra flavour in the milkshake and a 12.5% service charge!
not to be confused by irish diners to our own eddie rockets which although similar in style is by far superior.

i love eds and so does every one i know. i love the amerian theme with juke boxes and cool comfortable booth seats. the staff are always very polite and helpful and they give the phrase fastfood its meaning. But most of all ots got to be the peanutbutter milkshakes its one of a kind well done eds xxxx

Having been a previous worker at eds i think you should know (most of you know already) that you are being so ripped off with your money that its not even funny! (well for you anyway) First of all your getting three small scoops of economy icecream - sorry eds own make for your milkshake and then theres your food - chips cooked in reconstituted fat - onion rings that are aparantly supposed to be vegetarian but is cooked with the little jb chicken bites! Then tommy k ketchup - yeah you guessed it -eds own make! Burgers that are of really low grade quality and best of all your salad - lettuce that has been out for hours - the same thats used in your burger unless you get the bagged mixed leaves - ummm yummy! The rest is all out of a tin im afraid - olives, capers and red pepper. So basically your getting rubbish! oh yeah theres the deserts - frozen apple and pecan pie...why dyou thik they want you to have it hot? scoop of icecream 95p? a whole tub costs £2.15 i guess your getting your moneys worth! ofcourse its a buisness and they need to make a profit but really dyou really wanna give your money to eds when there are so many other nicer places just look around there so much cheaper and better!

I have wanted to try Eds for ages, and wont be going again! I can only seem to have my fav BEEF hotdogs when on holiday in the states so imagine my excitement when I saw Eds were selling them! Over here, all we seem to get is pork hotdogs....seems that thats all Eds can give me too! Im not an expert on hotdogs, but ive even far too many to know that that was a pork hotdog! 'Yeah, we'll cover it in chilli, they'll never know!' To think I had waited AGES for that and to have travelled for it and to have jst been mislead! Unbelieveable!
The guy next to me (almost sitting on my knees because of space!) was with 3 other men, he was asked for his order 'Ill have a malt shake'..and thats when the waitresses face turned to thunder..'Each persons order has to come up to atleast £4.95 so make sure the others in your party order more to make up your £4.95' Disgraceful! No wonder she wants £4.95+ for each person when they put 12.5% service charge on your bill!
As for the fries..or should I say 'British theme park chips'..nothing American about them!
Ooo they used real american mustard if that makes up for everything else! (...which it doesn't for me!)
