I think the food at Eds is pretty tasteless. It all looks fantastic and when it arrives on the plate you think you are in for a treat and then you take a bite and its a big disappointment. The milkshakes are great though.

Went to Ed's yesterday after a trip to the cinema with my wife. It was a hot afternoon but Ed's had it's widows and doors fully open creating a nice open air experience. I can take or leave the 50's kitsch but we were warmly welcomed to the diner which had a nice chilled vibe about it. We ordered a couple of hot dogs, an oreo milkshake and some cheesy fries, not terribly healthy but all good guilty pleasures. The Hot Dog was so so, I felt they could of done better with the onions, however the milkshake was wonderful and the fries very more-ish. We had a great time sitting there watching the bustle around us. The bill came to £16 which was extremely reasonable. We will certainly pop back as for a nice easy meal in Soho it delivered.

For me this place does the best burgers in London hands down. Decent choice of burgers, great chips (with cheese) & beautiful creamy milkshakes. Service is as expected very friendly & the juke box makes a fun atmosphere. Forget all the new gourmet burger chains and try Ed's.

If anyone ever asks where is agood place to eat, i will always answer Ed's diner, Ed's diner is my favourite place to eat in the whole wide world. I'm actualy glad we dont have one in our town as i would be there everyday spending all my money and be as big as a house! =p However it would be cool as that would be the place i would hang out whenever i could and take everyone to it. So far i have taken about 10 people i know to eat there, always the one in china town because of the wonderfuly friendly people who work there.

I love everything about it, i WANT to own one! If i worked there, which by the way i would love to, i would suggest the girl waitresses wore roller skates like they do in Sonics in the states. Ed's Diner 4ever!

Do yourself a favour, skip this place and go to Mc D's or Burger King - they are cheaper and you'll get more for your money than at this place, and i never thought id say this, but the food is probably fresher there aswell.

This place is like a 50's eatery with loud 50's music (riding along in my automibile) and i guess the food came from that era too, dry burgers, stingy amounts of chips, small burgers, small milkshakes, although they are nice but not cold enough, and the cutlery and dinnerware that they serve the food in looks dirty, infact the whole place looks like its not been cleaned properly, and its overpriced too for poor food. its cold and the staff are just boring, and unfriendly if you initiate any conversation with them or try to get their attention, however they do seem love chatting with each other and looking like they are too good to work there or to serve you any food.

I have been to the Leicester Square branch (now moved to Trocadero) twice now and loved it both times. The American guy who served us both times was really friendly and attentive and the staff were laughing and joking with the chef the whole time. The food was served fast and was great, I've had the cheese fries and ok, its squeezy cheese but I don't go to a burger restaurant to be healthy. The milkshakes are the absolute best! The malted oreo cookies one is my favourite with chunks of oreos to suck up your straw! I will go back again and again I love it

i second what Stewart said.the fact that i enjoyed the milkshake was a shambles to the food i ate.i mean the burger was dry,it didn't include any sauce and a extra charge of 75p had to added on for extra sauce/ingredients.also the cheesy fries were just nasty!all they did is put a normal kraft cheese slice on top and melted,i was expecting somthing more.i was disappointed and also the fact that we had to pay a further £2.75 of a service which weren't even provided.never again ever.

The burgers arrived quickly, but were fairly dull and uninspired. It'd also be a shame to consider that this is the best Milkshake in London.

The fact that they made the service charge discretionary is also a bit of an insult considering it was nothing special. So to be told that you are paying them an extra £2.50 makes a meal for two a little pricey at around £20.

Go there as a last resort....
