The team from Caravan on Exmouth Market have opened a second site in King's Cross. The restaurant is located in the Grade II-listed Granary Building and features a large open kitchen, coffee roastery and outdoor seating on Granary Square. Like the original, Caravan King's Cross offers breakfast, brunch and an all-day menu of dishes like deep-fried oyster 'sixes' with lemon mayonnaise and pulled pork with sweetcorn and chilli.

Telegraph

Zoe Williams - 4/5

Tuesday, April 23, 2013 - I had blue cheese with figs, drizzled in orange honey, and that was as good as it possibly could have been, the cheese a sombre-looking gorgonzola with a wonderful depth of flavour, the sweetness enveloping its tang. And yet, if we're going to pick favourites, a simple-sounding chopped chicken livers with prunes on toasted brioche might power ahead. The earthy, rustic intensity, combined with its beautiful textures, chewy and velvety at the same time, made me fall in love with it all over again.

The Independent

Amol Rajan - 7/10

Sunday, September 16, 2012 - The new potato with samphire, duck egg, peas, mint and mustard (£5.50); octopus with shallot, parsley, sherry vinegar and paprika (£7.50); and the scallop ceviche with green tomato, lime, chilli and olive oil (£7.50) are all far too small for the prices being charged. The pancetta, Serrano ham, green olive and Taleggio pizza is lovely; but again, too small for £9.50...Most of the ingredients for a lovely restaurant are in place: a solid menu, excellent architecture, etc. But to be worthy of the glorious piazza it occupies, either the prices need to be smaller or the plates need to be bigger.

A really fantastic place to hang out - very tasty, creative meals on the menu and great drinks, wonderful selection of wines. The waiters were so friendly and helpful. I liked the quirky glassware and lovely music. I will definitely be coming back as a regular!

We didn't think we would need reservations for a Tuesday night but we were wrong! Thankfully we managed to get a spot at the bar and then grabbed a table when some people left. Service was excellent, attentive and friendly. Drinks and food were all delicious - will definitely be going again!

Cheese and Biscuits

Cheese and Biscuits - 8/10

Wednesday, August 29, 2012 - There was a surprising punch of chilli in the fried bread, and the egg had plenty of good runny yolk, but our favourite bit was the chunks of green tomato on top which had an extraordinary amount of flavour and a lovely bouncy texture. It's a shame you don't see more green tomato on menus. Best of all, though, was a salt beef "bubble" (sort of a fried potato fritter) which would have been worth the £9 even without the two perfectly-poached eggs perched on top, covered in hollandaise. The chunks of beef were thick and fatty (this is a good thing) and the deep-fryer had added crunchiness without greasiness.
