Went last week having been to Wagamama's near Victoria station before. What a rubbish meal. I ordered the green vegetable curry (thai style) and it tasted like salt water. Waiter quickly changed it for the red curry meat option (again thai style) which l was assured would have more to it. It didn't. Cheap it may be, returning we won't.

As a reasonably regular visitor to Wagamama, it's generally reliable, cheap and you know what your getting. However, on a recent visit I found a piece of plastic in the food. The waitor couldn't have been more nice, and offered to replace the meal - although by that time, I'd been put off my dinner. I wasn't charged for any of my meal. So can't fault the service, shame about the chef.

Visitors from California. While there are may conveniently located Wagamama's, this one was almost next door to our hotel on Leicester square. I ordered the chicken katsu curry, my wife the negima yakitori, the miso soup with pickles and a raw salad. All were delicious. Great quality at very reasonable prices. It won’t get top marks for atmosphere. A door entrance from the street leading down into the basement. It's clean and modern with mainly tables and benches. The waitress writes the order on your paper place mat making it easier for the server to deliver your meal. It’s unique and different but actually we liked it. We returned 3 times. I particularly enjoyed the curry. Now that were home I have a very real craving for more. It will surely be our first stop on our return.
