Wagamama (Ropemaker St)

I have been to various wagamama's before and know what to expect in terms of food and service.
I went to this branch recently and was very disappointed by the service. This was surprising because the restaurant was about half full.
The service was slow and appeared generally disorganised.
The noodle dish appeared very quickly indeed - suspiciously so. It was tasty enough, although parts of it were lukewarm.
My drink was forgotten & the change took longer than I deem acceptable.
The bill states "Service not included". I cannot fault the accuracy of this statement.

Had lunch here today and there were a lot of disgruntled customers. A restaurant in the city needs to be able to cope with the 2 hours of demand they will get per day but the staff here seem to not be able to handle it. They brought me chicken katsu curry 3 times although it was not what I ordered and I finally got my order the person I was eating with was about to finish their lunch. There were no apologies from anyone except for one waiter who sadly was not our server.
The food when it came was nice but by that point I had 10 minutes to eat and get back to the office. When we refused to pay for my meal the waiters all wanted to argue but the manager didn't seem to care and blanked us. Maybe he's given up on his staff as well.

I was very impressed and happy how quick Wagamama handing my complaining about Chicken salad 2 weeks ago. I got the response the next day. Their area manager called me from their Richmond branch kitchen and talked to me for more than 20 minus on the phone. They really very serious investigate for every complaining. Their marketing dept e-mail me for appologizing and send me £10 vachure.
Wagamama prove me that they have a very strong successful management and marketing teams. Yes! I will go back and order chicken salad again.

I have been to Wagamama many times in different London branches and been a very good customers for them.
The worse experience is in London Richmond High Street branch on Saturday, 28th of May.
I ordered Chicken salad, well, it’s not a good idea to order salad dish in oriental restaurant. It's a disaster dish - I got 8 big pieces of 6-7cm of uncooked spring onion on chicken salad and the potion is small. I got more uncooked Spring onion than Chicken. It cost more than £7.50 for this salad. This dish should have named for Spring onion ............
I ask their manageress and waiters if they are willing to spend £7.50 for this terrible salad. Manageress told me that they have no choice to improve this dish because it is all controlled by the head office and if I would like to make complain, I should write it on complain form. I certainly do not have any interest to liston to their internal problems. If the menu is so bad they should complain to their head office or make it better to present in front of customers. And anyone know how to make that chicken salad looks better because you will not put 8 big pieces of 6-7cm of uncooked Spring onion on salad. I took pictures from my mobil, I paid for this dish and treat it as a joke. This dish embarrassed people think oriental people do not know how to make salad.
I would like to hear from Wagamama’s fed back on this.

It amuses me that certain people expect 5 star service in a 2 star joint. Wagamama food is excellent generally, its cheap, quick and freshly cooked to order. If you want silver service, pay for it.

The worst Wagamama I have ever been too and I normally like them. Surly, rude, unhelpful staff, cold tea and crap tasteless food. Will never go there againa and will tell everyone I know to avoid it like the plague.

What are thhose people on who have rated Wagamama's well? I went one saturday with two other people (hardly a big party). We each had a noodle dish that came out at 10 min intervals. When I complained about this I was told that this is the way it happens. Certain chefs cook different dishes so you won't get them together. When I pointed out that this happens in all restaurants and you do get your food on time I was ignored. She simply repeated what she told me. I also explained to the manager that eating out is social, but not being able to eat your meal together isn't. This doesn't happen in any culture in the world. Why in Wagamama? This is the way it is, I was told again. To go to a restaurant that is cooking simple dishes where the chefs are not competent enough to work together is worrying. So is the lack of customer service. If this would ever happen elsewhere there would be an apology. Not at Wagamama. If you're dining alone then eat there. If you're in a group of 2 or more, don't bother. It's a sham that doesn't care about the customer and is simply there for profit making.
Appalling
