Wagamama (Parkfield St)

I used to frequent this place to indulge in my favourite dish of chilli beef ramen, but recently I have been left less than impressed with the quality of the food. On my last visit my dish had what appeared to be soggy spaghetti in it in place of ramen noodles. The ebi katsu were overdone and the ebi gyoza were flavourless.
Back when the food was good, it was certainly value for money and I've only once experienced poor service. The staff are usually helpful, polite and friendly. The atmosphere is fast paced and friendly. This is a place for a quick meal with canteen style furnishing.
Unfortunately Wagamama Islington has taken a steep nose dive in recent months. I've bought the book so I'll be cooking my own from now on (or rather I'll be getting the boyfriend to cook for me).

Very, very mediocre. If you want tasteless food from yet another ubiquitous chain, go here. If you want Japanese food, or food with any sort of taste or identity, steer well clear.

Work nearby and regularly go for a fix of 'Chicken Katsu Curry' at lunchtime.
I have to say I have never had bad service in this restaurant even when it is packed out I also visit Camden at weekends and they are also really friendly people.
Yes I have seen Japanese people in this restaurant and my Japanese colleague is also a regular.

Wagamama is a mediocre restaurant, a few of their dishes are OK, but its not good Japanese food. Have you ever seen any Japanese people eating there? For a similar style of restaurant, with much better food try Satsuma on Wardour St, Soho.
