I have to say this is one of my favorite restaurants in London. I have been many times, and I have never had any bad experiences here. The food tastes great and you get large portions - more than I can say for some other places along the road.

I am a particular fan of their speciality which is the Noodle Bar: you can basically create your own meal by selecting whether you fancy pork, tofu, prawns or steak, adding whatever type of noodle takes your fancy, and one of the many sauces on offer (Black bean, "healthy", teriyaki...) and then deciding whether to go for it in stir-fry or soup. They also have many dim-sum on the menu and other dishes including a very tasty duck chow mein. I also love the many lemonades on the menu: you can have lychee, mint, raspberry or, my personal favorite, white peach.

I think that the staff are efficient and nice, they always ask whether you are happy with your meal, and one time I said that I had been waiting for my meal a long time and they gave my boyfriend and I drinks on the house!

Definitely a place to go for a night out with friends for cheap nice food.

I’m not someone that can usually be bothered to write a review on something….but this was so bad I just had to! Went here for lunch on a quiet Friday afternoon since I love Dim Sum and Dim T is just down the road from work. Before I even had time to look at the menu the waitress asked whether I wanted Edamame or Prawn crackers. I declined both only for her to bring some Edamame over anyway which cost me £2.95 when the bill arrived. Of course I should have sent them back at this point but decided to have them as I was hungry and I like Edamame. Turns out they were horrible…..and I’ve never had bad Edamame anywhere in London, I didn’t think it was possible to get some that tasted rubbish – but these did. Anyway, ordered some Dim Sum which was truly terrible when it showed up. The parcels were soggy and almost completely tasteless; if it wasn’t for the lemongrass in my Prawn and Lemongrass dumpling it really wouldn’t have tasted of anything at all. I was very disappointed with Dim T especially since some of the reviewers on here rave about the place. I’d definitely not go back there…after having brilliant Dim Sum at Ping Pong the other day I’d much rather go there.

The food was really lovely - I had sticky Cantonese chicken with a yellow bean sauce. It was delivered promptly, and was well priced. The service was absolutely fine. However, the place has some significant problems with their heating. It was very cold (at lunchtime), and there was a noticeable strong draught. They had heaters all over the place, some of which had left large unsightly scorch marks on the walls. I actually had to sit with a thick coat on (as did others in my party), becase it was so cold.

Dim T is a great addition to Charlotte St. while the food may not be authentic, it is fresh and tasty and the dumplings in particular are fun and offer great variety. the service is usually friendly and prompt. my only complaint is that the acoustics are terrible when the place is full.

I have to disagree with the bad reviews of this restaurant. I have been several times for lunch with colleagues and clients and always received impeccable service and excellent food. They do a good range of veggie food for me and the chocolate wantons with coconut ice-cream are to die for!!

As a frequent visitor to London, Dim T's big plus for me is that it is in Charlotte Street, a really great choice of restaurants around – Greek, Italian, Indian, and the made-famous-by-literary-drunkards Fitzroy pub. We ate there Saturday evening 09 July, heat wave steaminess, not much appetite, not an evening for warm sake. Service prompt. The prawn and scallop dumplings were fresh and delicious, really transparent and delicate, perfect – mistake to order the duck as a main course, a little too greasy and rich.
