What a find - super restaurant and extremely well managed with Charlie at the helm. Very personal, professional and discreet. Great food - a great find. You won't be disappointed.

The meal we had the other evening was fantastic - Suckling Pig was historic and the sea bass - wow - presentation and taste was just wonderful. The 2 ladies with our table were amazed at the sweets, they looked fantastic. We were introuced to the new chef very nice and interesting person. I don't know of any other restaurant that at the end of the meal put a bottle of liqueur on the table. It all adds up to be a brilliant experience at a very welcomming restaurant with such attention to detail. In the words of the governor of California " I'll be back"

I am spanish myself, and went to El Blason to check it out before inviting my english friends and one thing i can tell you, they made me feel proud of being a Spaniard. Without any doubt it it the finest spanish restaurant in london. Great food, great location, and great atmosphere. The Manager Ludek made as feel like very welcome, and the rest of the guys were superb, especially the head waiter Charlie.
I will be going there as a regular from now on.

I went to El Blason on friday night with a friend and had such a brilliant time. The food is pretty good as is the wine and the atmosphere is fabulous. Carlos is a fantastic host. We shared about five different dishes. The monkfish skewer was great, as was the calimari. The prawns were really garlicy but that didn't bother me. The house white was good. The deserts were yummy, ask for the almond tart. What struck me most was Carlos and his generosity. He sent over a bottle of cava to my table and gave some a bottle of red wine to a group as they were leaving because they had celebrated a birthday. I had a really lovely evening.

It has been nearly two years since I last ate at El Blason, but every night I dream of Carlos' remarkable food, service, and atmosphere. There is not one Spanish restaraunt in Texas (or anywhere in the States for that matter) that even compares to El Blason. The second my plane lands in London on my next visit, I will be in the cab to head straight for El Blason to eat the most amazing, savory meal for an unbeatable price (especially considering the prices at other restaraunts in the Sloane Square/Chelsea area).
I advise all residents and tourists alike to try Carlos and his wonderful staff's service and food, and to witness for yourselves the exceptional quality of El Blason.

Very Chelsea - fine dining, very posh - not what I would expect for a tapas restaurant, though.
We started with a fish soup each, which was really fantastic, then tapas of pinchos morunos, tomato and onion salad and spanish tortilla.
The tortilla was good, but have tasted better elsewhere - they did give us a whole tortilla, cooked in a small pan - runny as we had requested.
The tomato salad was very mean - really it was one tomato sliced very finely. For £4.50, they should have been more generous. As for the pinchos, we got just one skewer.
The food (before service) came to £32, which was fairly good value for Chelsea but not for a lunch tapas.
Service was almost too good - I felt uncomfortable - it felt much too Habitat or Ikea with tablecloths rather than the rustic decoration I am used to.

For me is one of the three best Spanish Restaurants in London.
A very warm welcome. Good service and fantastic food. They could improve the list of Spanish wines.
Every time I recommended the restaurant to my friends they confirmed the evening was great!
And.. if you are a lucky person you can meet the Pope..

Last Thursday evening at El Blason table for 4. The Paella was one of the best I have ever tasted. I have spent a lot of time in Galicia the best place for seafood in Spain (the restaurants in Madrid are supplied from there) so I am able to offer a balanced opinion. Far from being frozen the Seafood was very fresh and the mussels great. The atmosphere was very friendly and service very good. Not cheap but then if you expect quality you have to pay. The whole evening fantastic value and I will definitely be booking again.

I went sat night with my boyfriend and it was very disappointing. the paella was mix of frozen sea food and pieces of chicken, not tasty at all. the tapas were really expensive and as spanish I can say that the cuisine was british more than spanish style..
