I had a fantastic time. The service was excellent and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. Food was so tasty. The portions were deceiving - we had to take our leftovers home with us! My only criticism was that it was a little over priced. I'd definately go back there to eat.

I went to this restaurant on valentines night too and also have to agree with the other review about the menu, it was quite bad especially in terms of value for money. And I have to agree that the' love boat dessert', now that was really cheeky

for sliced banana and a scoop of icecream and flavoured puree, clearly there was no thought put into this dessert and it did come across as time saving and cheap. Not impressed at all fahrenheit, infact me and my partner agreed we would not go back to this restaurant as a consequence

I went to fahrenheit on valentines day and I have to say I was exetremly disappointed. Although the atmosphere was quite nice the service was quite slow and most of all the food extremely diappointing especially when my partner paid around £70.00 not including drinks and the service charge which subsequently doesn't come across as optional as it is included in your bill wether you like it or not. The first course was prawns with salad, which could have been better. The second course was a mixed food platter, again I was not impressed, and lastly the desert which was called 'love boat' I could not believe my eyes, it should have been called a banana split except it wasn't even as nice as that , it was a under ripe banana cut into 4 slices, one tiny scoop of icecream with desicated coconut sprinkled on it and some kind of awful tasting puree sauce in the middle. There was clearly no effort put into this dessert, and to call it love boat that just added insult to injury. Very dissapointed fahrenheit ,especially since i read mostly good reviews about the restaurant and this menu was simply not good value for money.

I went to this place last year summer for a special occasion and it was an nightmare, the food and drink was nasty and priced highly . We had a platter called 'Belly nah bawl' or something like that for £16 per person which my belly was still bawling after because i don't think 1 piece of chicken leg, 2 fritters, 1 piece of dry fish with rice peas which was frozen and then reheated would full my belly as i did'nt finish it. Yes I am West Indian and know what fresh food taste like. In my house we have Sunday dinner left over which on a Monday taste fresher than that.

I will never eat from this place again even if they give it to me for free. All I could say is I was extremely disappointed.

Well what can I say about fahreheit, I've been a customer for 2 years and all I can say is that it is a fantastic pace. Angie one of the owners is absolutely fabulous she's welcoming, friendly with excellent customer skills which you don't always get in a lot of restaurants these days. And as for the food its absolutely superb . I had the pleasure of going on New Years Eve 2007 with my relatives and had the pumpkin and ginger soup which was absolutely to die for, it was then followed by a mixed platter which consisted of deep fried coated bream, plantain, chicken, coleslaw, fry dumplins and ackee and saltfish and rice and peas, dessert was dark rum cake served with fresh cream. Me and my family were absolutely stuffed and as if this wan't enough there was also a complimentary glass of punch which was fantastic and all of the above was for fantastic value for money.

I then returned to Fahrenheit on 19th jan 08 with a friend of mine and once again was bowled over by Angie and Jacqui the co- owner who's birthday it was ( Happy Birthday Jacqui and you look fabulous), and the red bean soup starter I had. If you have never had red bean soup you need to try this it was absolutely delicious and if you have had this before try it at fahrenheit its unbelieveable the flavour that was achieved was scrumptious. Infact the entire meal was fantastic and my friend who was a first timer had nothing but praise to say about her meal and the service especially when at the end of the evening when Angie especially arranged for John (another customer) to drop me and my friend home by his Rolls. And as a customer with disability let me tell you it was very welcome. Thank you Angie and Jacqui for your wonderful hospitality and for running such a fantastic establishment.

All I can say is if you are looking for a carribean restaurant with tip top customer service, absolutely fabulous food, a warm and inviting atmosphere look no further than fahrenheit. Well done Angie and Jaqui and also thank you to john for the lift home. Ps/ forgot to mention the apple pie, do yourself a favour and try it, its like no other.

I first ate at the Farenheit Restaurant roughly a year and a half ago, so things may have changed a little since then, and it was only the once because I do not live in that neck of the woods.

From my recollection, I would have to say that the service was first class and the staff very friendly, especially when you consider that so many Caribbean food outlets - particularly takeaways - can be pretty dismissinve of their clientele. I was pleasnatly surprised by their attentiveness and it did come across as contrived to me.

The food, I thought, couldv'e been a little better; far from lacking in taste it was a little over spiced. I think I had a fried fish dish of sorts (Red Brim) with rice'n'peas which was what let the meal down slightly. For me, if rice is too salty or spiced in the wrong way, it takes away from the whole meal especially since it is eaten as a complimentary to meats etc.

If I have marked the restaurant down on atmosphere it is only because it was not that busy on the evening that I was there.

On the whole the restaurant was well presented and if anything I was glad to have found a place such as this one in the remote locale of Archway Road.

The big picture is that there are simply too few Caribbean diners around, particularly in areas like this, and if the proflie and status of black cooking is to be raised to it's proper placeand given the kinds of accolades it can achieve - and we know it can reach the highest - then restaurants such as Farenheit should really be appauded for having the nerve to stand up and be counted. Bottom line - we need more Farenheits and a lot less McDonalds!

In reference to Thomas's comment, I am not a relative, but I am a supporter of choice and whilst I have no qualms about eating Asian food, I am curious to know why their attitude to business has yet to spread to our community?

I went with my family to celebrate my stepsons 25 Birthday, it was a first for my family and everyone enjoyed the food. The staff were very friendly and helpful, nothing was too much for them. The food is lovely and the atmosphere is wonderful. I have just arranged for a night out with some friends and this is where we are heading. A big thank you for a great night. Well done to all the staff.

I disagree with Thomas below. My husband and I went on Saturday evening, during a visit to London, it had been recommended to me while I worked in London. I wish I had only gone sooner. the food was delicious (Chicken Brown Stew) the organic wine was reasonably priced & tasty. the staff were very attentive, but not too much so, fabulous music got me in the holiday mood. Overall I would DEFINATELY recommend this restaurant

we went on saturday to this restaurant, after reading the reviews on this site. i strongly disagree with the things said on this site about the place. let's just say, people shouldn't "vote" for their friends and family. it's all about an honest opinion. a rating of nine and more is far too high for food and service.
