I stumbled upon this little restaurant this Saturday together with my boyfriend. It's such a cosy place, however a little cold in winter. The other guests' food smelled so delicious that it was almost unbearable to wait a little bit for ours to arrive. My boyfriend's pizza was very good, among the best in town. And in general, their selection in pizzas are very interesting and new - very nice for a change. My pasta was not too interesting, but all is forgiven. We thought about have take-away pizzas from this place the day after, but gave up because we couldn't remember the name of the street nor the restaurant. Today I went back and booked a table for next Saturday and made sure I brought a leaflet home next time we need take-away pizzas. Oh, and the size of the meals or medium pizzas are just right for people who don't eat a lot and are very tired of fighting waiters over why he/she didn't eat up!

I was out with a few friends to dine one evening when we came across this cosy looking restaurant. The fact that it's situated away from the main road makes the atmosphere seem really relaxed and pleasant. We ordered a thin crust Americana Hot for starters which was delicious. The toppings were freshly prepared giving the whole meal that warm and scrumptious taste. The drinks were really nice and I'd definately give this restaurant a 9/10 for the quality of the food and the atmosphere.

We ordered a take-away from this restaurant which was recommended from Time Out. I think it as the worst pizza I have ever had. The base was soft and spongy and the toppings were watery and felt like they were just slung on and hope for the best. I sincerely say I can get better at Sainsbury's or any other supermarket. We will never order from them again.

Used to go there more than 4 years ago and it was by far the best pizza in town with perfect thin crust base and lovely toppings. Shame is not the same thing anymore! Even supermakets have better bases.

I was excited with the idea of going back to Pizza Place for some time now, and the disapointment was so big I am not planning going back again, not even advise it to anyone. Nice service, but that's not what takes me to a restaurant!

I have eaten at this local pizza place a few times and every time I have had great pizza. Actually, the best pizza I have found in London and I'm from New York!

The service is also great and the waitresses are very friendly.

I highly recommend this pizza place over Pizza Express, Pizza Hut, etc!

Well, again we thought we'd try somewhere that's new and local and this time Pizza Place was on the menu.

First impressions - bit quiet but friendly Polish waitress and a good mixed meat/vegetable antipasti for about £8 with nice bread. And then the pizzas ...

Well, to me pizzas are all about the base. You can generally get away with a lot on the topping. As long as the base is ok.

Unfortunately Pizza Place fails on both counts. The base is like a premade bread biscuit - the kind of thing that passed for pizza base in 1985. And the topping is similar - too uniform - too gloopy. Someone is defintely out there cooking in the kitchen but they just can't cook pizzas.

A real shame as service, ambience and prices were passable - but not brilliant. Someone should write them an anonymous letter about their pizzas. This place won't survive for long ...

Very welcoming and cozy, great service and fantastic food, this would be the perfect description for this petite but very attractive Italian restaurant.

Highly recommended.

Pizza Place is a small pizzeria, but you'll be pleasantly surprised by the food found inside.

Pizza Place has many unique pizzas.

My favourite is the Giulietta.

If you are a traditional pizza fanatic they have what you want too.

They have toppings like beef and pepperoni and less traditional toppings like Parma ham, Coppa di Parma, artichoke hearts, marinated aubergines, chargrilled red and yellow peppers, roquette, sun-dried tomatoes...so you can mix and match your own perfect pizza.

They are located off Clifton Road. You might miss them if you don't pay attention.
