The place looks ok. The staff are friendly. The food took forever and there was only one other table occupied.

Cheap and nasty ingredients indifferently prepared and over-seasoned.

I'm a regular at Cafe Sillka and always find the service courteous and prompt. It's very child friendly and the menu is varied and mostly of good quality. The area isn't great but you don't get all the local "yoot" hanging around that you used to, so things have much improved. Admittedly, I wouldn't travel across London to eat there, but if you are a Rotherhithe resident as I am, I think it's a great little place, .

A funky resturant, almost eighties disco feel to it, good prices and value for money on deliveries.

Our fun evening out:

7:45 - Arrive at restaurant. Wait for tables to be re-arranged (despite pre-booking).

8:45 - 1 hour later; give up waving frantically at waiters; walk up to the bar to ask someone to come over to give us menus and take our FIRST drinks order.

9:45 - Poppadums arrive.

10:00 - Sauce for poppudams arrives - too late, we were all too hungry!

11:00 - Some of our party leave to catch their last trains home - still pre-main course.

11:30 - Food cheap, edible, but nothing special at all - distinctly not worth the wait.

12:15 - Eat quickly to rush for the last tubes home. The manager makes excuses regarding the size of our party (despite pre-booking).

This place could be a pretty decent, low-cost establishment if they were more "customer-focused" but they've lost my custom forever!

A large party of us came for a meal on a week night, 4 hours later we left feeling relatively drunk and not at all satisfied.

Good intentions, the staff were pleasant and the food was cheap, but we waited an hour for a menu and another hour before starters came. Two of our party even had to leave before the main course because they had to catch main line rail home!

I wont be going again. And that's a shame because it looked like the place may have had potential. Having said that the food was nothing to write home about either...

A smell of authentic India greets you as you walk into the restaurant. The excellent food, which is easy on the pocket.

Mr Zaman greets the customers really well.Friendly person with a charming personality.

Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant - I'm a massive fan of Indian food and this is one of my favourite places for a quick, delicious (and cheap) bite to eat.
