I have been visiting The King’s Arms regularly since the beginning of August.
The beer garden is just wonderful, it‘s like an oasis away from the traffic and the rat race during sunny days or warm evenings. The inside of the pub is just in my taste, a mix of an old fashioned pub and a little modern. The back room is nice and comfortable with the sofas in front of the fire place.
And I guess the blokes appreciate the big TV screens for sports.
The food has been good and the service has always been nice. Since I prefer fish, those meals have been excellent in my opinion.
I will continue to have an occasional drink or beer and a good lunch or dinner. And when warmer days come I sure will enjoy the garden.

Well for a 7.50 lunch special including a drink i actualy think its good value for money and great food for lunch, i have a tight lunch schedule and thought this deal works perfect for my limited time. And i also thought the girls behind the bar where friendly and nice. I will definetly be going back there for lunches.

You are joking?! We work near the Kings Arms and were regular visitors when the pub was under the amazing management of Christy and her partner.
Now the menu and the service is appalling. The food is crap and overpriced and served by people who neither know or care about the menu or food.
We had 'roast chicken' and mash and I swear they'd got it from the chip shop next door.
After several years of loyal patronage, the general consensus from our 50-strong office is that we wont be eating there again. A real shame as it's a great looking pub and we know (from experience) how good it can be.

Apparently the kings arms have changed owners recently and it seems to have done wonders, new lunch deal for 7.50 including a pint and a fresh new ala cart menu in the evening and lots of sport is on. This is gonna be my new local. Especially like the litle back room where i was sitting with my friends and watched the rugby all afternoon.

Where did the last reviewer go? Certainly not to the King's Arms. You only need to ask the proprietors for info on the food to know they'e made it themselves!
I am a local and a regular. I never need to trudge around London for a great meal. Hooray! The food is always fresh with a thoughtful menu and very reasonable prices. Sunday lunches are unbeatable.
The last meal I had there was beer battered fish and chips with home-made tartare sauce and YES, it was homemade. If I had ever had anything like that out of a packet/jar, I'd bother to eat ready-made food. This is fresh food. The tartare sauce was like none I'd ever tasted before.
It's a shame more local people haven't discovered it's joys as I don't think the current proprietors are there much longer.
Go there before it goes.

I wrote a positive review of this place last year and just wanted to update. The food is still to a very high standard and the service excellent, but the major difference between then and now is the garden. They've turned a scrubby patch of grass with bum-numbing picnic tables into a gorgeous garden with extremely comfortable furniture. It's a beautiful place to sit out in the summer with a glass of wine and some friends, and there's a great mix of sunny & shadey areas. If it wasn't for the brewery looming through the enormous trees (not for much longer apparently) you wouldn't know you were in the middle of Wandsworth. And thanks to them for fixing my one gripe about the place!

I meant to write this a long time ago but never got round to it. I had a party at the King's Arms earlier this year and the owners, Kristi and Dan, went out of their way to make it a great evening. The food was excellent (as per usual) and the staff very friendly and helpful. I have also been there for countless sunday lunches and have never been disppointed. This pub stands out from the crowd for value, service and quality of food. I wish I lived closer!

When all you're looking for is a quiet-ish evening with good food, good drink, good service and a very pleasant atmosphere, you really will be very hard pushed to beat the King's Arms. If you're just out on the lash, this probably ain't the place for you.
At first sight, the ambience may be slightly subdued, but that is more a function of this being a civilised socialising pub rather than a boozer. With lovely ales from next door, a well-stocked back bar and a small if diverse and fairly-priced wine list, the drinker is well catered for. However, it is in the kitchen that this place really comes into its own. The menu is concise and robust, but well considered with something for everyone, and mercifully everything is freshly cooked to order by Daniel and his brigade, which vastly improves the experience. And to top it all the sevice is relaxed yet efficient, unpretentious and incredibly friendly.
My girlfriend and I wanted an easy but quality Friday evening out and the King's Arms delivered in spades. This is more than just a place to go when the cupboard is bare - although Lord knows it's perfect for it. This is a gem of a place with superior 'better-than-pub-grub' and magnificent bonhomie. Thank you!
