Sunday, March 28, 2010 - We always order the same: two lots of prawn tempura to start, some yaki buta niku (fried belly pork with vegetables in a spicy sauce) to tide us over, and, for our mains, a soft-shell crab roll, a salmon-skin roll and a California roll, and a selection of nigiri, including tuna, salmon, yellowtail and flying-fish roe. It's always good. The tempura is succulent and not too greasy, the fried pork combines with the vegetables and the spicy sauce to produce something irresistibly moreish, and the maki and nigiri are full of rich, fishy flavours. This is freshly prepared, well-balanced food made by an experienced chef.

Very nice Japanese, I higlhy recommend it and it is probably the nicest japanese in London (For the price). Watch out for the tour groups though. ;)

Yup. Went here yesterday for a quick lunch as I'm trying to tick off a few more local places whilst I'm off work. Very good.

Unassuming from the outside, it stretches way back on the inside although you can sit up front at the bar if you like.

set lunches are about 10-15 and you can go from chicken teriake to eel on rice. We had one eel set lunch and one salmon teriake bento. Set lunch came with miso and some beansprouts. The eel was lovely. Succulent and tasty. The salmon was generous and fresh. Rice was good. Service polite.

We came out very satisfied and feeling lucky that we have such a wealth of diversity on our doorstep with not one but three very good japanese restaurants within 5 mins and this is definitely one of them.

Won't break the bank either.

Best Japanese restaurant I think I have been to in London.

Great service, food is authentic and there is much attention to detail. Everything was fresh and I tried stuff I have never had before. Fun little meals when selecting a set menu. Like little suprises. Pricing was reasonable too.
