Suddenly closed, without notice. Although the sign says "closed for refurbishment", I heard that it will not be re-opening.

Pity, it was one of our favourite local places. RIP

This is a gem of a restaurant and priced very competitively. Set meals are excellent value, as is the wine list. If you're looking for something special then try the Sushi Counter and let the chef introduce you to the market's freshest catch. Foodies won't be disappointed, although the ambience is lacking.

Unfortunately this meal completely failed to meet my expectations. This had previously been my favourite Japanese. Our wine was not chilled, we were asked if we did not mind. We ordered our meal to be told that our main course was off.

We reordered and were served teriaki beef that could have come from a pub.

We had to order a sahami dish to recover our palate. We finished with green tea and had to ask for the pot. I have heard that this is under new management. I supect they will need to make a few adjustments....
