your comments review this restaurant and win a bottle of champagne
The bread is outstanding, but frankly everything else is mediocre and overpriced.
The management and staff I would liken to car salesmen - not what I would expect from a restaurant associated with a top class chef.
Our group was around 20 people. I ordered an expensive bottle of wine for the few friends with me and the manager proceeded to offer it down the table without consulting me. In front of everyone, he then called me from a distance when, sounding surprised, he said he was about to run out and suggested I order more.
Surprised by his manner, I agreed. The staff rush around pouring the wine out as quickly as possible so that more may be ordered.
Hidden charges on the bill were disputed after paying, but the manager was unapologetic and his manner is very poor, as was the response from Antony Worral Thompson himself when I complained.

Having read the reviews on this site, I have to admit I was rather sceptical about eating here. We arrived 15 minutes late because of traffic, but upon arrival the staff were very pleasant and really nice. We were offered a high chair because we had a little one with us without even requesting one, and our drinks orders were taken as soon as we were seated. The staff were brilliant, and even managed to tame our rowdy 3 year old! The food was served within around 20 minutes, our steaks were cooked to perfection and the portions were ample. For the six people in our group (four adults two children) including drinks the bill was a little over £100 - and for the quality of the food served I would be more than happy to pay even more.
I would recommend people ignore the poor reviews of this restaurant and go and give it a try for yourself. I will definately eat here again.

I went early evening with my wife to the Kew Grill and was very surprised to find it was apart from the food and we had to listen to most of the staff standing at the bar talking very loudly in Polish for the first half hour of the evening. Service very much of the standard that one would normally expect to get in any Eastern European restaurant, very unfriendly
