Cleveland Kitchen

Cleveland Kitchen - previously a local favourite - seems their impending departure from their Cleveland premises has somewhat tainted their view of customer service. Impolite waitresses- not an apology when two meals arrived 15 minutes after our friends and a hostile response to any questions regarding the whereabouts of our food! Food was ok - but so not worth the stress of dealing with their staff members!

Our favourite local by far. The food is Italian at its best - fresh ingredients cooked perfectly; good wine list; friendly service. The rooms are small but pleasant. One of the best value restaurants in London. We always end up there because it outstrips all its neighbours for quality of food, service, and atmosphere.

My favourite cosy Italian restaurant for when I visit London. It is very small and so a bit cramped when full. The food is normally excellent for the price. Service is variable, but has its own charm.

On London's best street for great and underappreciated good value restaurants, nice little italian with great staff, a fairly inventive menu and a good wine list. The atmosphere is uperb.

I don't want to add to the praise for fear that the place will become too popular, but Cleveland Kitchen is near-perfect. It's something of a miracle that a restaurant so small can be such good value. Eating here is always a pleasure. Also, I had a birthday supper here a little while ago, was indecisive about numbers and asked them to open early. They were accommodating to a fault.

We went for our work Christmas lunch and we were all very impressed.The food was absolutely lovely, we couldn't fault it. And the staff were also good - very attentive. I will definitely be returning.

I've been going for lunch reasonably regularly for over a year. Absolutely consistent: small menu and simple fare (just what you need at lunchtime) but high quality ingredients, superbly cooked and outstanding value too (2-course lunch for two - squid followed by venison and rib of beef, with a jug of Chateau Thames Water and coffees - £23). Service couldn't be bettered.

A simply superb little restaurant - slightly off the beatentrack. Now becoming a firm favorite with locals and office lunch-goers. The food is simple, great tasting and good value for money. I hope it stays this way.

Delighted to have found this little gem of a restaurant a walk away! Now a firm favourite and everyone we have taken there has loved it. Great service too. Not a big selection for vegetarians but they will happily make up something for you.
