The food is excellent but I would recommend to get the chicken tagine. The service is excellent especially Mustafa (a charming waiter) I knew him form before but he is always putting in all of his effort, in my opinion he is definitely the best waiter ever. The atmosphere is incredible, you are tranced into Morocco from London the walls, the ceiling is decorated in all types of Moroccan decorations. The prices are perfect and the food is well worth the value.

Excellent atmosphere nothing is too much trouble for these staff, as formal or informal as you require... beautiful setting and transforms you in its relaxed surroundings... ideal for snacks meals or just drinking mint tea and shisha or excellent for celebrations of any kind --- best place in London --- I have tried all shisha cafe/restaurants in Edgware Road area but this beats them all....

Since Mimouza Moroccan Restaurant opened up its amazingly Berber and Desert style cavelike eatery in west london, has always been delighting diners with its aromatic pastillas, briouats, tagines and couscous, characteristic of Morocco with its Berber influences.

Not to be missed are the mezze platters– olives, tangy home-made vegetables marinated in olive oil, spiced chick peas, za’atar or dukkah, and wonderful spreads, such as zaalouka, mergueze lamb sausages and village bead.

Highly recommended is the couscous royale, a fragrant dish of spiced couscous topped with braised vegetables, spicy sausage and fruit. It’s served on a tagine, releasing the rich aromas of Abbari’s ras el hanout spice blend, when the conical lid is lifted. The beautifully balanced chicken tagine with preserved lemon and olives is excellent.

Finish with the sweet fresh mint tea so ubiquitous in Morocco, served in a traditional, curvaceous, silver teapot, with little Moroccan patisseries in an atmosphere of real live Gnawa music…can not ask for more.

Mimouza Moroccan Restaurant is a real find for anyone who appreciates the authenticity of the flavours of Morocco.

What an absolute Shame..What has happened to this place?...I took my family there last night for a birthday and didnt recognise the place.. I was told when we went in that they dont serve alcohol anymore because the manager doesnt like it so had to go and get some... There was no one in there at all (2 people i think) and i have been there midweek before and it was fine. There was no atmosphere the place seemed dark and tired. And also where has the lovely man gone who used to remember my mums name and make a fuss of her.. Whilst the food was ok'ish i felt it was missing something... I would like to go there again maybe at a different time and hopefully my faith will be restored :-(

Having now lived in the area for a few years, there is no other place I would recommend highly enough for a truly fantastic dining experience than Mimouza. My partner and I stumbled across the restaurant on its opening night - the attention we received, and the excellence of the food was unparalleld. Thinking that this was a once off, we decided to go back a couple of weeks later. Again, no disappointment.

The food is authentic and beautifully presented, the waiting staff attentive and eager to please, the ambience inviting and exciting. Friends, family, and colleagues have now all accompanied me to Mimouza, each acknowledging that this is one of London's best kept secrets.

For me, it is the simple fact that it is not a heaving and deafening loud restaurant - it is quiet, you do not feel as if you are being fed and booted out to make way for other diners. You can relax, chat, take time over your food and wine.

That is how restaurants should be. And Mimouza more than certainly embraces this.

In celebration of my 25th Birthday I booked a table for 15 at Mimouza - based purely on the reviews on this site... and I can honestly say it was one of the best dining experiences I have ever had. From the decor which is exceptional, to the music (very authentic and sets the mood beautifully) to the food which was so wonderfully presented. Having the belly dancer there was amazing and many of us joined in (all captured on video for future blackmail use...) and the music performers were wonderfully accomodating and lots of fun (we even got to dress up in traditional clothes!). Thank you very much Mimouza for a truely wonderful evening and I will hopefully see you again!

Mimouza is an excellent place for a party or even couples. We had such fun and the food was far better than any other Morrocan in London.

The decor is beautiful like an Aladins cave, I loved the live traditional Morrocan music and the bellydancer was one the best I've seen in a long time. A real gem.

...MIMOUZA RESTAURANT is a unique Moroccan venue with its atmosphere and the charm come as thick as the brocade tapestries on the walls, as soft as the low cushions you sink into, as enveloping as the tented velvet ceiling and as warm as the flickering candlelight illuminating the belly dancer and the fantastic Moroccan JAZ band whom i later was told that their real name is GNAWA. The food tastes fresh and exotic. The tagines waft with steam, their stewed vegetables imbued with fragrant cooking juices. The couscous is lighter than air the Bastilla so tasty with its toasted finely flaked almonds sprinkled over a delightful honeyed chicken in multi layered flakes of pastry...It was the most memorable night in my years of restaurants’ dining...
