Me and boyfriend are very big fans of Lilly's. We love sitting in the booth, food is top drawer and staff are very welcoming. Even to go to the bar before going out is a pleasure. Highly recommend

I echo the thoughts in the review below - we are locals and would love to support this restaurant more, but everytime we dare to take anyone other than ourselves, we are faced with interminible delays on the food. A shame as when it is good, it is very, very good, but when it's bad you wonder why anyone would go there.

Living in Wapping, my husband & I (as well as our neighbors & friends) have been patrons of Lily's since it opened nearly three years ago. However, in the past 6 months or so, standards have clearly slipped. In the past two months, we have sent back raw steak and undercooked chips. And we have waited up to an hour after ordering to have our meals served. Although we could forgive 1-2 bad nights at one of our local favorites, unfortunately, we have run out of charity.

Visited on a Saturday evening for Dinner. Staff were very welcome, great service and friendly atmosphere. Food was lovely, meat was perfectly cooked and very tasty. We weren't rushed and enjoyed a pleasant evening.

I love this restaurant and I don't know why London-eating has not published any of my rave reviews!

My husband proposed to me here - although we didn't test the special occasion factor by making it a big show. We love this place and especially like to sit in the booths at the end of a quiet day.

The food never disappoints and even though it's not the cheapest around, that's why we think of Lilly's when we need a treat. The service is always great, the people are always friendly and attentive, and discreet when we are just relaxing and enjoying the very warm and confortable atmosphere.

I cannot recommend this restaurant enough!

went for a post marthaon dinner for 10 people - the service received was attentive and first class. This is my third visit here and I enjoy the variety of food and drinks. The starter prawns in garlic and steaks with choice of sauces top. Good idea to share the side dishes or mix and match with the mash and chips.

Not yet tries dessert as have been full. Nice bar area for before and after with the papers.

We have used Lillys about ten times since it opened and it just gets better and better. They now do a fantastic melt in the mouth rib eye steak to share.They mix a mean cocktail as well.

To give this restauant an average rating would be a compliment - avoid if you enjoy food cooked properly and with flavour. It also allows smoking and gets very smoky. Disppointing considering the suspiciouly rave reviews previously.

Had our wedding anniversary meal here on 29 Dec, always difficult to find somewhere good at this time of year.

Couldn't have been better, service was superb ( special thanks to the russian/latvian waitress who was so kind, my husband sneezed and before I could say bless you she was there with tissues!!)

Fabulous chicken liver pate, steaks and mash and chips ...nice comfort food on a cold and windy night. Free glass of champagne and a nice red from a small but good wine list, nice to see a good selection of french wines. Was v quiet and although that is usual at this time of year the pizza place up the road was heaving, we are out of towners so not sure why that is maybe Lilly's is busier for brunch and lunch? Anyway gets top marks from us

I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough! Lilly's has proven itself to be the only real challenger to the stranglehold Il Bordello has on Wapping. The lunch deal, brunch at the weekend and dinner are all superb, very decent pricing and excellent, excellent service mean this place has become a once, twice sometimes three times a week hangout for me and my friends.

Now, where's that number, I need a reservation for tonight...
