I've been meaning to go to Fino's for quite a few years now and I finally made but what a disappointment. The food isn't bad but I was expecting something pretty amazing considering what a great reputation it has. For example their chips baravs are just frnech fries with a tiny dish of the tomato sauce on the side. Fine but not great. The actual restaurant is decorated like pretty much all restaurants at the moment. A sea of beige, simple, clean lines etc. All in all nothing terrible but definitely nothing to write home about and with all the (much cheaper) alternatives there are in London, I would suggest giving this one a miss.

Enjoyed my first lunch at the recently refurbished Fino's last week. A short walk and great contrast to my regular restaurants in Soho. Definitely worth the walk and looking forward to my next visit. Friendly and informative Italian staff, extensive menu, hearty food, (big portions) and great wine list. Lively and, despite being surrounded by Mayfair suits, informal.

This basement restaurant/bar is a perfect venue for a long afternoon of lunching/drinking

I have been a visitor to these premises since 1973 when I was 22. It is still as good now as it was then, only I am now older. Great staff, great bar food, and fun.

Fino's is just brilliant. It looks like quite pub-like so initially my expectations were low. However the mostly Italian staff are really fun and friendly, and food really is fantastic. It simple Italian, but everything is super fresh and cooked perfectly.

I really recommend eating here (particularly the calves liver with sage)

A gem of a place just off Berkeley Square. Friendly italian staff make the place so unstuffy and informal that the great food comes almost as a surpise. Highly recommended.

Fino's is always on my itinerary when I visit London. Crowded but convivial at lunchtime and after work, great for a quick stand-up bite at the bar and, yes, the crisps are worth their (light) weight in gold. Long, long lunches around the Christmas holidays get their happy start here, as do early liquid dinners. The inexpensive and very quaffable wine is a big plus.
