Enoteca Turi

I visited Enoteca Turi with my friend for his birthday meal along with another few friends. The first thing that strikes you about the restaurant is the warm welcome that you recieve as you walk in through the door. As i entered the restaurant I cringed at the sight of the 'no smoking sign' but i later realised how this meant the restaurant felt cleaner and more comfortable and the food and wine tasted better.
There was only one beer on the menu along with the hundreds of wines and we all started with a glass, which was excellant. The house red which followed was also very good.
Enoteca is famous for it's wine list but for me (not the wine connoseur) it is the foood that is the most important ingredient to any meal out. My starter of Goats cheese and seasonal baked beetroot was superb to look at and to the taste and you could really in the rocket how fresh it was. My friends had pasta dishes for starters and they all enjoyed them thoroughly.
For the main course, as I am vegetarian, i went for the Gnocchi with spinach. This was fantastic. Fresh gnocchi is incredible and the texture and taste of this dish felt very different to anything i've eaten before. The creamy sauce was light and tasty. My friends had steak ('superp') and fish ('excellant') and some delicious looking duck and we were all very happy.
A fantastic cake followed, as it was my friends birthday, though i'm not sure this was made in house. After this was a varied and delicious cheese served with thin slices of toasted wholemeal bread. The Italian coffee which we ended with was a perfect end to a thoroughly enjoyable meal. Excellant.

I'm a HUGE fan of enoteca - how lucky we Putney dwellers are to have this gem just round the corner. It's reliable, tasty and pretty reasonably priced.
Last time I went, I had a crispy duck leg for the starter which was delicious, Him Indoors enjoyed fresh parma ham with mozzarella and figs - again quality ingredients make all the difference. Then I had spaghetti with fresh crab and cherry tomatoes. Too full for pudding, but we drank a fair amount of prosecco.
Keep it up Enoteca!

Having lived in the Putney area for many years, I've noticed Enoteca Turi but for some unknown reason I've never tried it. Perhaps this is because I rarely eat in Italian restaurants in this country because, being Italian myself, I have been disappointed many times with the quality of food comapred to that in Italy.
My girlfriend and I dined at Enoteca on Saturday 26th August, and we both agreed it was the best meal we had ever eaten in our lives!
Every part of the experience was perfect, from the food to the service to the ambience.
I had the the warm salad of Lamb's Kidney for starter, while my partner had Squid on a bed of beans and vegetables (I don't remember the exact name of the dish). Both dishes were cooked to perfection and succulent.
For mains, I had a veal fillet wrapped in pancetta, with fava beans and girolle mushrooms. The meat was rosy in the centre and melted in the mouth! I could taste every flavour yet none was too overpowering. My partner had duck's breast, which again was succulent and full of flavour.
We rounded things off with desserts of Strawberry Parfait, and a Chocolate cake which were both sublime.
The presentation of each course was beautiful, and looked like what you'd get at a Michelin-starred restaurant.
We decided to go the whole hog and go with the recommended wines with each course (by the glass) which of course complimented the dishes beautifully.
I had an Amaro Montenegro to help the digestion at the end, and the whole meal worked out at just under £60 per head, which although expensive, was worth every penny in my opinion.
The service was friendly and attentive, but not overly so.
I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone for a special occasion (or on a regular basis if you can afford it!).
I'm still daydreaming about the combination of wonderful flavours, and wish I could afford to eat there every day!!

Having passed this restaurant many times, we thought we really ought to give it a try. The wine list alone kept my other half quiet for ages. Whilst reading the wine list, I had a kir royale and my partner a beer. We then ordered chargrilled vegetables and artichoke salad for starters followed by duck breast. The meal was absolutely delicious. The duck breast was cooked to perfection and the accompanying wine simply wonderful. For pudding we shared a pineapple ice cream washed down with a glass of sweet wine. The wine was beautiful and accompanied the pudding perfectly. The bill came to just over £100 - £50 a head we weren't complaining. We were very glad we paid this restaurant a visit and we shall definitely be going back. The service was extremely good, attentive but not over intrusive.

This has been my favourite Italian restaurant in London. Ate here again last Saturday (first time since last summer) and was disappointed: food was not up to usual standards and the service was poor. Noticed also that the wine list seems to have got even more expensive (perhaps it was always that way!).

I have eaten in Enoteca Turi for many years and have never had an unsatisfactory meal. Sr. Turi is a perfect host, and his staff are well trained - a great rarity these days. The food is as good or better than any I have had in London or perhaps even Italy, and the recommended wines are a revelation. For this quality, the cost is very reasonable.

This place is nothing short of fantastic. £60 a head for 3 courses and the accompaning recommeded wines (which by the way were all spot on) may not be cheap but it's worth every penny. You'd pay considerably more for far poorer quality of food and service elsewhere and it's nice to find somewhere that is unpretentious and focussed on what diners want.
This is a gem - in fact I was in two minds as to whether to write this. Look what's happened to Chez Bruce and this place is every bit as good.

Firstly, this place offers probably the best service I have ever seen in London. The staff are charming and knowledgable.
The wine list is most impressive, as is the decor. I forgot, on several occasions, that outside the restaurant was Putney High Street rather than Holland Park.
The food was very good - and in parts excellent - my only criticism is that there seems to be something of a fear of salt in the kitchen.
Otherwise an exceptionally good evening. Highly recommended.

Enoteca Turi is one our absolute favourite restaurants. Signor Turi is an expert on Italian wine and his list is truly amazing. His imaginative and beautifully presented dishes using fresh ands superb ingredients are marked on his menu with the recommended wine by the glass to go best with the dish. Service is friendly and excellent, atmosphere nice. Booking essential as more and more connoisseurs of the best in Italian food discover this gem

Dined on a Thursday evening with my friend. Tables for 2 are rather closely spaced, and the sprung wooden floorboard meant we were bounced around in our chairs everytime a waiter hurried past. My friends starters and main course were generous; I got 2 tiny scallops for a starter (£9) and a small sliced duck breast for mains (£15). Side orders took the cost of the main course up to £20. The wine list was vast, and the service was fine. Overall, £55 for 2 courses plus wine and service was far too steep for the quality and quantity of food, or the ambience. I suspect the restaurant would better suit those of a fatter wallet or smaller appetite; though as 5'3" female, my appetite isn't massive!
