Nice old fine along the river!

After walking miles with the family, we fell into this place - bit of discussion between the kids about pizza or fish and chips... Fish and chips won!

Really enjoyed our meal, food was great in the grill - decent chicken burger and steak for us, the team were quite helpful in doing 2 halfs of fish into 2 fish and chips for the kids.. Yes please to ketchup and mayo, they loved it

Service charge on the bill which we don't like, but on this visit was justified as we had been looked after.

We ate here last weekend and found the waiting staff to be extremely rude and insulting, and the food was definitely not worth the money DO NOT EAT HERE, the steak was £18 and looked and tasted like road kill and when we complained we were told that was how we asked it to be cooked! Everything else was very badly cooked and of very cheap quality but the prices were high. For a £20 steak you might as well eat at a nice restaurant like Gaucho!!

We went for a late lunch yesterday and were disgusted by the food and rude waiting staff. We ordered steak at £18 and half was gristle and when we complained we were told that is our we had asked it to be cooked. The mixed grill sausages were of very cheap quality and covered in oil, and the chicken caesar was very dry. The waitress was very rude especially when asking about drinks and when we mentioned the food was not great she just shrugged and when we spoke to the manager we did not even receive an apology only an offer of free coffees as if we wanted to stay there any longer! We will NEVER be retrurning!!

Let me say this, the premises are incredible the scenery is beautiful the food; awful. Talk about service without a smile, this was it. Don't eat in the grill there was no atmosphere and the waiter/waitress just ignored us most of the time. Do yourself a favour eat at KFC.

EVERYTHING EVERYONE HAS SAID BAD ABOUT THIS RESTAURANT IS MORE THAN TRUE. AVOID.

I had been coming to this restaurant for a few years, but I will definitely not now. We went last night and the manager from the first moment was extremely rude and had an attitude in seating us in the restaurant. It did not start off well at all.

It took over 20 minutes for someone to even recognise we had not ordered and when one of the waiters did come over, he was completely disinterested and practically not listening to our order. It was just embarrassing to say the least. We tried to change something on a pizza and he just kicked a fuss about the fact he had to write it down on paper rather than use his little scan pad that has a set menu, gee I wonder what waiters did before the time of little flash pads...

The food did not arrive for at least 45 minutes. It was not even busy at this time and we could just see the staff chatting away and not doing very much.

The menu has changed it's menu and could be under new management as it has significantly changed the quality of the Pizza (also quite over priced for what you actually get!)

PIZZA - The pizza was extremely soggy, the steam had obviously taken over the base and it was absolutely disgusting to eat. We considered taking a box away to give to someone who may have needed the food on the way back home, but felt this would just be really unfair to that person.

One of the Pizza's we ordered was practically forgotten which meant part of our group sat there wondering when the food would arrive.

The Garlic Bread with Cheese was more like fried cheese with a hint of garlic...

At the end of the night, we were all quite fed up, a lot of food had been wasted and the waiter had pretty much forgotten we were there.

The view from the balcony is amazing, and St Katherines in General, if you are going out, perhaps eat somewhere else and enjoy the views after your meal - really not value for money, and absolutely terrible service!

Awful service.

We waited an hour for our starters, which never came. The main arrived, but was the wrong meal - this was replaced although this also took a further 15 minutes.

The food could be described as dull, at a push - unpleasant wouldn't be far off, its certainly overpriced.

Service is included in your bill, which is a complete travesty - I felt I'd been mugged for 6 quid by my waitress, given a choice I would never have paid extra for service that incompetent and food that poor.

We would have walked out had we not been trying to enjoy the bank holiday. The whole experience left a bad taste in my mouth.

Would not go back, ever.

We went to this restaurant, to the grill, for the mothers day, And we were very very very very disappointed. At the beginning, we were sit quicky, but we waited 1 hour to have our starter !! a ridiculous chicken paté, i can find better in the tesco !

For the main away, same thing: we waited more 1 hour and i asked to the waiter (or manager because our waiter, one hour per one hour, remember him there is a terrace in the restaurant) to serve the dish more quick because we had an appointment. No reaction.

We left the restaurant after the main away, we didn't wait the desserts. so To resume: 3 cokes, 1 beer, 2 bad paté tesco, 2 small fishes, and 4 british beef ... 160£ !!

RIDICULOUS AND UNACCEPTABLE, and we paid the service charge for a waiter missing all the time.

do not put your feet here, there are so many better quality restaurant. At worst, for the same quality, go to mcdonalds, and still is to insult the McDo. That's it

I took my husband here in September for a birthday treat. We have lived in London for 15years and I really wanted to surprise him with the location, he'd never even heard of St Katherine's Dock. Yes, the location is amazing it's like being on holiday, however, do not eat in the Grill restaurant if you appreciate decent quality food.

My husband had the fish selection to start, which was just palatable but the smoked salmon was cut too thick and quite unappetising. Not worth the £10 we paid. He then had the sirloin steak which had to be sent back twice, first it was overcooked and second time it was too tough to eat. The head waiter was very obliging and allowed my husband to change his order to yellow fin tuna, which was edible but not great. I had goats cheese tart with chorizo to start, this was OK but it was a cheap cheese and the chorizo had a big hard piece of gristle in which ended up in my mouth - yuk. I then had the barbary duck with dauphinoise potatoes, I left half the duck breast as it was too tough to eat and the potatoes were dry and unappetising. The cherries for the sauce had come out of a jar. I didn't send any of my food back as I didn't want to add to the already rather tense atmosphere. We were so disappointed that we didn't order desserts, we just wanted to leave.

We love our food and have been to many great restaurants of different prices per head in London. Please by all means go here for a quick drink but my advice would be don't waste £70+ on poor quality food. To be fair the ingredients were so cheap and such poor quality that the chefs would have had a battle on their hands to send out anything decent. There are better places to eat very close by, the Indian restaurant Mala next door is very nice. Infact I would rather go to one of the chains in the dock than return here. I give a rating of 1 for our view of Tower Bridge and for the helpful staff.
