Visited Cocoon on a Thursday night as part of a party of 10 for a leaving do of a colleague. The restaurant was very busy - completely full in fact and we were late as we couldn't get cabs. This was not an issue and the staff could not have been more helpful and professional. We were two people light and they were more than happy to re-arrange tables for us to improve our group seating position. The food was really good - not cheap but you have to think about the location. The sushi/sushmi was pretty good and the beef salad, soft shell crab and chillis prawns were excellent. The service was top class and the wine excellent - the head sommelier was especially helpful and professional and helped us find a great wine choice for the food at reasonable cost. I will be going back.

What an awful place.

Despite booking well in advance we were seated at a terrible table in a section where only one other table was occupied so it felt empty and completely lacking in atmosphere.

The decor is tacky and lacking in style.

The food is over-priced and poor quality. I love this type of food but the standard here was rock bottom compared to places like E+O or the Great Eastern Dining Room.

Really just a place to show off, if you're into that sort of thing....

First time i went was excellent even though tad bit on the expensive and small portion side, excellent beef teriyaki and tempura prawns.

Recently went in Feb, service was dire, sushi wasn't fresh even the bottle of water we ordered tasted polluted although it was meant to be environmentally friendly.

Probably better to go for drinks at the swanky floating bar and going celebrity spotting.

Had dinner there on a friday night, - food was generally very nice, seriously over priced and in some cases seriously over spiced. Chili sauce on the prawn was hotter than the surface of the sun, and singed my taste buds for the remainder of the meal. Service was ok, not amazing as previously suggested, and toilets are a trek and a half - walking boots recommended.

More of a posing opportunity than a good restaurant.

I have been to Cocoon a few times before but only for drinks. I loved the bar and knew I had to come back for dinner. My boyfriend took me to Cocoon for my 30th Birthday. He couldn't have chosen a better place! The setting is so romantic; I love the rose petals under the glass table top. The service was superb. Nathan, our waiter was very attentive and the food was delicious.

I don't often venture into the West End, but this was a special occasion and the menu on the website sounded delicious. What a lovely evening, the food was lovely, the cocktails to 'die for' and the service was spot-on. Will definitely be going back!!

Last Saturday i celebrated my birthday in Cocoon. I haven't been there before, and I have to say it's an amazing venue. The atmosphere inside was lovely and service was incredible. Our waiter did an amazing job. Whatever we ordered arrived almost straight away with lovely smile. Food was also very good. I can recommend very tasty duck roll with sweet sauce as a starter and juicy beef as a main. Dessert was a beautiful Chocolate fondant - to die for. I was really surprised especially after all the previous reviews.

My partner & I visited Cocoon for lunch today & we were amazed by the quality of the food. The service was great - we didn't really know what to choose from the vast menu (with dishes influenced from several asian countries) the waiters knew exactly what to recommend!

The only thing that we will consider next time is the time of day that we choose to go - lunch was a little quiet but nice & intimate giving the staff more time to expand on the food descriptions!

We will definately be taking friends & family to visit as Cocoon offered us an amazing experience!!

Where to begin, I thought Cocoon was great. When I arrived the Reception staff directed me to the bar where I could wait to meet my friends. The bar staff were very busy but with a nod let me know I was not forgotten. I did wait a little while but the cocktail made up for it indead. I was later joined by my guests and were brought by a receptionist to our table. The waiter did offer to help design our menu for us which helped alot as we don't offten eat in asian restaurants. The food was really top notch and the dishes were as promptly replaced as we finished them. We had a very sweet waiterss serve us who seemed a bit shy but very friendly and attentive. In general we though Cocoon offered a great package all round as the staff were very helpfull with the menu and didn't seem to mind all our questions at all. After the meal we went to back to the bar and the atmosphere among the staff was great. It almost felt like a show was being put on. I really can npt recomend it enough. You will need to dress up a little but a great place for a celebration.

My partner and I came to Cocoon and was blown away. I simply don't agree with the some of the other reviews as the food was great, the service fine and the cocktails superb. The prices might be a bit steep, but what do you expect when dining in such fine surroundings! Everyone was really nice - from the guy at the desk to the floor staff - we will be back!
