Pick More Daisies

This must be one of the worst dining experiences I have ever experienced.
The welcome? What welcome?.
The service? Practically non-existent.
The drinks? Never did arrive.
The food? We were served somebody elses dishes, but we'd been waiting so long for ours, we kept quiet about it. The quality was average at best.
The atmosphere? I don't expect to have someone's snotty-nosed little brat trying to steal food from our table to the amusement of it's parents.
The conclusion? Avoid.

I go to Pick More Daisies quite a bit and always adore the food. The burgers are as good as the Gourmet Burger Kitchen ones and they have the biggest salads you can imagine. Never can finish them.
They do alcoholic milk shakes as well which are the best 'pick-you-up' after a stressful day in town.
Great addition to North London.

My girlfriend and me have been regularly going to Pick More Daisies, at least twice a week, since we moved to Crouch End in January and we can never understand the poor reviews the restaurant sometimes gets on this site.
Yes, service isn't 'in your face' and pompous, but who wants that? and they never fail to be friendly and helpful.
Food is always great and fresh and there is so much on offer you can always find something to suit your mood. The Surf and Turf is my favourite, or the Daisy Daddy, whilst my girlfriend never fails to enjoy one of the many Salads they have.
Can't beat the Fat American breakfast too - best hangover cure there is!!
We are both on the list of true Daisy fans!

We live locally and have given PMD its fair share of chances.
As many reviewers have noticed the service never seems to be right. You have to go and grab a waiter or waitress to get yourself anything. Laid back is one thing, but this is just lazy.
Yes its kid friendly, especially if you go into the back, but its not like there is a lot for the kids to eat.
The menu is laid out horribly and I often struggle to find someting to order.
Food is hit and miss too, and with a complete lacjk of attention to whether it is right or not from the staff, so you dont get the same every time. As for being california like, I never ordered in California and felt short changed. The portion sizes are meagre (definately not Californian) and the tastless, greasy fried tofu and over herbed grilled vegetables on the veggie breakfast almost had me turning meat eating again.
We gave it so many chances because the ambience in there is very nice. Unfortuanately after my wifes last inedible meal we have given up and will not go there again. Shame becaus eth etea they hav eis nice and the cups superb.
What they need is staff that care, bigger portions and a more flexible attitude to make it anything like the californian cafe it wants to be.

We live just a few minutes from Pick More Daisies and go there regularly. We love the food, our child is welcome there and you can eat lunch or dinner (or breakfast) without choking on smoke.
The food is consistently good and the service is always good-to a point. It seems that after the food arrives, the server vanishes and we often have to chase down for the check. Other than that, we love the place. We will continue to support Pick More Daisies.
