If you're a kiwi in london, especially a wellingtonian in london, then huzzah!! you've just found a cafe pretty much like a Cuba Street cafe!

This place is much like the grande Olive Cafe, but is more bright and sunny and children friendly.

More aimed at families and the happier american in mind, the food listing is muchos like one from Olive.

I'd definately go again. Delicious and happy on soul!

ok so I went here the first time and the service was awful but the food was great. It was a slow night and there was only a few other diners in the restaurant but the wine took ages to arrive and was plonked on the table. The staff went round the back to chat and ignored us for most of the evening. However the food was spot on a and pretty reasonable.

I came out thinking, definitely give it another go so I did ...

This time completely the opposite. It was busier and the service was very good - really I can't fault them. However, I ordered scallops to start as did one of my dining partners and they were rank. They tasted if they had come out of a freezer then left on the side. To add insult to injury they were poorly cooked and who ever though of the combo they were served with - some sort of mango and pepper salsa should be banned from ever creating a menu - it was like one of those Gordon Ramsay moments from his show when an aspiring chef tries to combine nectarine and sauages. The steak salad was decidedly well done - we had asked for rare and poorly thrown together - the one we had on the first visit was very good.

Anyway starters were poor and the burger was pretty average compared to the last one I tried on a previous visit as were the other mains.

If they sack the chef, source fresh ingredients and sort out the menu this will be a good little place to visit.

It's not awful as a package just very careless. It's hard to rate so i've gone with a split average.

brilliant we had the posh fish and chips (salmon in a beer batter) which is excellent and the chips which came with it are not greasy at all and perfectly seasoned. The choclate waffle dessert is absolutely to die for, the service was a bit slow and not much atmosphere but the food made up for it.

I found PMD via a Google search and have loved it ever since. My workplace had our Christmas Night Out there this month. Whether I have been there with my partner, family, friends or the Christmas party of 18, the food and service has always been faultless. Our Christmas "do" was exceptional and Kevin and his team made us feel that nothing was too much trouble. Everyone had 3 courses and the veggies amongst us were well catered for. We had so many different dishes between us and not one person had cause for complaint. We loved the food and left with very full, well satisfied tummies! Drinks were chilled to perfection and the service was efficient and unintrusive. Cost per person was unbelievably good - circa £31 for 3 courses, beer, wine, water and freshly squeezed OJ, tea/coffee and sweeties (fantastic) and this also included the service charge! We had the rear of the restaurant all to ourselves and it was decorated beautifully - party poppers and Christmas crackers gave a party feel to it all and we even had a welcome glass of Bucks Fizz. Background music well chosen. Excellent excellent restaurant in every way. Oh, and the audio Fawlty Towers episodes in the loos are always amusing). please don't go there though. I won't be able to bok at short notice if it becomes too popular!

Went with my daughter for Sunday brunch, lucky to get a table. Service was a tad erratic but polite nonetheless. My daughter pronounced her salmon burger 'A1' and my 'most pampered cattle' burger was certainly better than my usual fave at Gourmet Burger Kitchen. All in all, will be going back for more. Be sure to book ahead for Sunday. brunches.

I tried this place when it first opened a couple of years ago and found it ok but rather lacking atmosphere and also customers. But they are now nicely into their stride, providing fresh tasty US style diner food in generous quantities at reasonable prices, professionally served. Three recent Saturday brunches have all been excellent, the only problem now being that the place is getting very popular and a tables can be a bit tight at busy times. The combination breakfasts are superb and extremely good value -- the American at £8, including fresh OJ and good cappuccino, with precisely cooked eggs, proper American pancakes, field mushrooms and others bits and pieces is terrific value, and they manage to get complicated multiple orders to the table hot, fast and simultaneously. We haven't ventured far into the menu, which has burgers, steaks and attractive salads and sandwiches, but if they can keep up this standard across the whole piece they'll do well.

I've been often, and it's not quite the same since Matt left. However, the food is still good (recommend the Chilli Burger!) the prices reasonable and there is now some atmosphere (unlike when we first few times we went there)

I have been 4 times and just keep going back. Pick more daisies has a great menu, and has picked up on some great food trends long before other restuarants I've been to. The service is good and the staff are very friendly. A really great restaurant.

I've been now around 7 or 8 times, lunchtime and evening and I've always had a lovely time. Thoughtful service, very good food which caters nicely for vegetarians and meateaters, and one of the few places in Crouch End you can go to in an evening just for a coffee and a chat with a friend. I've not had any bad experiences. So for me, great atmosphere, lovely service, good food and value for money.

Went to Daises for Valentines and will definately being going back again.

From the time me and my boyfriend sat down and were welcomed with a tube of Love Heart sweets (they still do them!), to a gorgeous chocolate fondue to finish, we had such a lovely time. Relaxed atmosphere, friendly service, and SO SO SO tasty food.
