The price is very reasonable, but the food had no taste. The chicken was not good. Overall the dishes were extremely salty. While they came out quickly, that lead to some concern. Fast service concerns me. I'm not at a sit down restaurant to eat in the manner of a fast food restaurant. So if cheap and quick are your aim, Oakwood Palace is the place to go. However, if you want quality and taste, stay away.

I love Oakwood Palace. I've been going there as long as I can remember, and my parents have been going there well before I was born. It's extremely charming, with friendly and interesting staff, as well as delicious food. I'm extrememly picky, but even I will come out from there feeling full.

I stumbled across the restaurant with a freind when visiting a relative in Oakwood. I loved the food and the staff were really friendly it did seem to be very popular as the staff knew the names of a lot of regulars but treated us with the same compassion. Overal very good service and good food.

I have been going to Oakwood Palace since the1980,s.Food and service always excellant. The owners Ying and Tommy always remember their regulars and even stage a free xmas party for at least 150 of their regulars with a night of food and disco in the resturant. Have spotted regulars such as Linda Lusardi and Posh spice when she was a nipper

Having been quite a few times now, I find it an excellent restaurant to visit; the service was friendly and warming, the food was of suberb standard and arrived very quickly. Also the price is reasonable, I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a night out to eat.

I have been going to the Oakwood Palace since 1969, quite simply the food and service has always for us anyway been superb, and great value, the best. The lunchtime menu for a fiver is unbelievable, try it. The owner Tommy is such a character too. Thoroughly recommended.

Although Oakwood Palace has been around for many years, it still is an average restaurant with other chinese restaurant in the area not one I would automatically go to.They have recently refurbished their restaurant, however it is a shame they got new management, as I miss the old owner! The food average , the service is ok and they are quite quick. So if your local and everywhere else is booked then its not a bad option! Ok for takeaways, especially conveniant as just outside the tube.

I worked in New Southgate for years and ate at the Oakwood Palace at least once a week with my colleagues.

The staff have been a constant throughout this time with many familiar faces staying across the years.

I would recommend the Sweet and Sour Pork Cantonese style it is fantastic a with a little egg fried rice.
