Nippon Tuck was a disappointing eat.

We booked through a website but when I rang to confirm on the day, the restaurant had lost our booking.

Starters took 40 minutes to arrive and were poor. Corn cakes were greasy and tasteless; the spring rolls were well presented but bland. Two of the four items ordered for mains were not available, and we were not advised until after the starters were delivered, resulting in another 30 minute wait for mains. The red Thai curry was excellent and the vegetable tempura, tasty. Fish and beef dishes were small, leaving both diners hungry, even with sides.

Given the slow service, we didn't order dessert.

The views are stunning and the location, convenient. However, this is the third time we have visited Nippon Tuck and the consistently poor food means that we will not be coming again.

To be avoided. A very disappointing attempt at Tom Yam soup, a starter ofof minced steak on a lemongrass stick was very bland, fried squid was very salty with little other taste to it. They were out of Char Kway Teo much to our disappointment - quite bizarre given the basic nature of the ingredients. Prawn Sambal underwhelming - Duck in miniscule portions. Green curry passable. All at prices commensurate with a 23rd floor hotel restaurant with very nice views i.e. exortionate (~£10 a starter and ~£20 per main). Aggressive wine refilling. I suggest you go there, take in the view and then go and eat some Lebanese cuisine on Edgware Road!

Magnificent view, excellent food, if you are hungry avoid the baby lobster dish...
