I visited this refitted establishment last night and enjoyed excellent food from across the turkish menu, washed down with good quality wine, in great company. The service was well paced. I would strongly recommend a visit.

Very impressed with the recent refurbishment, best looking place on upper street. The staff was particularly pleasant and attentive. The mixed meze was delicious and the main course (iskender) was best I have had. Highly recommended whether your out for a meal or a few drinks.

Have to agree with many of the previous comments - good and bad. Food can be delicious and is very good value.

Service can be good - but can also be appallingly bad.

Also agree with previous comments that the restaurant is too cramped.

If you want to be sure of a good time - this isn't the place to go. Sorry.

I went to Pasha last Saturday. It was my first visit since the refurbishment. The room looked glamorous. The service was very caring, and the food was very tasty.

We had the Pasha feast £19.95, 3 courses. The mezes were delicious, the mixed shish were served in genorous portions and we finished with the turkish desert platter, along with very original music to complement the meal.

I reccomend Pasha to anyone who wans to have a great night out. I will certainly go back again.

I have eaten at pasha for years, last time i went, i had a huge surprise, the look of the restaurant has changed from 19th century to 21st century modern, purist design. The waiters walked us in to the restaurant and find us the best probable location for 7 of us, a large square table. Before we asked we had the menus served and asked straight away would we like to have a freshing drink, or pasha's special cocktails, you should try the saray sling if you ever visit.

Friendly waiting staff, taken the orders, and another surprise any questions we asked about the turkish terms in the menu, the waiter answered briefly what they are and why they have kept some of the terms in Turkish. We had meze to share between of us and another surprise i have never seen excellent presentation of meze like this ever. My main course was Duck Kapama, which it was a revolutionary way of serving duck with the best mediterranean ingredients.

I would like to thank to the people who has served and cooked for us, but I have to say i would like to thank to the people who has created the new look of Pasha and its excellent menu.

I have already booked my Christmas party with them so i am so lucky that we are going to have our special party again at pasha. Well done Turkish Restaurateurs

well... 30 of us decended... they took on extra staff! we were booked 10 days in advance... the food was TASTY, but small portions and if you appreciate eating your starter as your friends recieve their dessert.....and YOU LIKE YOUR waiter to fumble around not even knowing what he is serving... this is your place... bon appetit.... i would never return to this place again, turkish food is good filling food, but when it is presented in a minimalist fashion it does not go far as most minimalist portions are so rich and refined they fill you up... 4 chunks of lamb on a griddle with some ice berg lettuce and rice does not minimalise well....

PS> WHEN WE GOT OUR BILL>>> FOR 7 PEOPLE IT WAS £300 NONE OF US HAD MORE THAN THREE DRINKS OR MORE THAN ONE COURSE... SUPRISINGLY BETWEEN THREE TABLES THEY WERE ALL AROUND £75 TOO HIGH ABOVE WHAT WE ATE... THE 118118 MAN ADDED THEM UP & WAS SURE IT WAS CORRECT ... 2 BOTTLES OF WINE HAD BEEN CHARGED FOR 1, WATER ETC, ALL GENERALLY VERY SHIT, VERY RUDE, AND VERY UNSATISFACTORY...

DONT GO HERE........ DONT GO HERE..... if you do... take a camara, its all very comical

My husband and I have been to Pasha on a number of occasions, this was the worst and we will not be returning!! We had family over in London on holiday, so decided to take them to a Turkish restaurant as they had never been before. The service was atrocious, I have never met such a rude maitre d' in all my life. The tables are very close together, infact too close together. If you are in a big party, you will have a hard time eating in comfort. As we were a party of four we asked to be moved to a roomier area. The maitre d' came over to us and wanted to know who gave us 'permission' to move. He asked us to point out the waiter that moved us, so he can ask him to leave the business. We refused to tell him and he became more and more aggressive. Not a pleasant experience, so shall not be returning.

We went to Pasha last night after having been told about it by friends. We loved Turkish food when we went to the Country last year.

The food here was just as good. The restuarant looked like it would be tight, be thankfully it wasn't that busy so it wasn't a problem.

It had a romantic setting and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The only downside of the night was that the food came out very very quickly- which usually is better than waiting for a long time. But within 5 mins of ordering, our starters came out. After the plates had been cleared, the main was out within another 5 mins. So there was no time to savor the food or to relax through courses. It felt very rushed. Although the food was well presented and very delicious.

At the end we thought maybe a free glass of Raki would be given, but when we asked for one- after the bill had been paid, they charged us an extra £5.00 for two glasses. A little free Raki would have been very nice.

The bill total wasn't that unreasonable, we did have a bottle of wine as well and it came to £55.00.

The most tender lamb I have ever had! Really delicious food and well priced. The atmosphere was good (despite starting the night with a cd of really terrible pop songs, they eventually put on more Turkish style music). The waiters were a bit zany, but definitely knew their stuff. Always good, will go back again.
