The most tender lamb I have ever had! Really delicious food and well priced. The atmosphere was good (despite starting the night with a cd of really terrible pop songs, they eventually put on more Turkish style music). The waiters were a bit zany, but definitely knew their stuff. Always good, will go back again.

Three of us went here on a Saturday evening and they found us a table pretty quickly. The atmosphere is excellent but don't expect quiet intimacy - the tables are bunched together giving it a really vibrant feel.

I thought the food was excellent, we were trying to keep the cost down so went for our own selection of mezze and a large chicken dish to share. The meat was good and the dolmas (vine leaves) and soujok (spicy sausage) were both excellet. Add in plenty of bread and some well-flavoured tabbouleh and we were all pretty full. The whole bill came to just over £50 with drinks which seemed very good value for what we'd eaten.

The service was certainly attentive, the women who run the restaurant are very pleasant but our waiter was a livewire but not really in a good way - almost a pastiche of Manuel in Fawlty Towers. Our food came promptly enough but then when we declined desert (with hald our drinks left) we were told "I need this table URGENTLY" which rather spoilt the end of the meal.

Great for a group on a Saturday and I would guess that going during the week would allow you a bit more time but despite being rushed in and out (which you expect in Turkish/Lebanese/Sushi to an extent) I would recommend it.

What a splendid evening! I booked dinner for 4 at Pasha. From start to finish the atmosphere and ambience was superb. We sat at the best table, our starters were delicious (mixed meze), the staff were charming and very entertaining. I asked for recommendations which certainly went down well. I will definately be returning in the future and highly recommend Pasha especially for group dinners. I must especially thank Magdelena as she looked after us all and made us feel at home.

It might be more sophisticated but sadly that does not translated into good eating. We paid £25 for two main courses and one glass of wine and left hungry - having played "hunt the lamb" and "can you see the meat?"

Four mouthfuls and we were done - and looking for somewhere to have a proper meal. Very bad value for money.

Went to Pasha for an evening meal last Friday. After sitting for twenty minutes we decided we had to ask the waiter for a menu (should have walked out instead) Decided to go for the Pasha Feast thinking it would literally be a feast. I think you could order all the items separately and come out with a fuller wallet. Additionally I had to order extra food to fill me up. The atmosphere was lively, but the table next to me was drunk and disorderly. They were obviously regulars and the waiters were not willing to do anything about it. Although they did apologise to me no less than ten times.

Your local kebab shop will sell better food and undoubtedly cheaper too.

Plenty of other restaurants round Islington - try them first

We went to eat out in Islington "on spec" on Saturday. We chose to eat at this place because it looked smart and inviting. The atmosphere was very buzzy and the decor is very elegant.

Our food was exceptional - possibly some of the best turkish food I have had. We had the feast menu (meze, mixed grill and baclava for £20) - everything was very fresh tasting and delicious. The baclava were particularly good.

The service was impeccable - attentive but not intrusive, and friendly only up to a comfortable level.

I really like this place and would recommend it highly.

Pasha distinguishes itself from the many other Turkish restaurants in the Islington area by being rather more sophisticated than the rest. The white tablecloths and general smartness of the place give it a plush feel. Our starters included delicious borek (triangular filo pastry parcels filled with feta and parsley) and halloumi cheese, served with pide (traditional flat bread). I also enjoyed my main of pasta and walnuts. The house red also went down well and although I was too full for desert, my companion enjoyed his chocolate mousse. The service was good and the over all the experience was impressive.

I really don't know if either I've been to a differant restaurant than most of the reviewers here, or if Pasha's standards have dropped dramatically since the previous review but this is one place I won't ever be returning to.

There was a set menu available when I attended (Valentine's Day)and on paper the food looked appetising. The reality didn't compare unfortunately as my partner and I agreed that it was the poorest food we'd eaten out for many years. Not only this but we were left waiting for over half an hour for our dessert and only discovered when paying the bill that the sparkling water (not on the set menu) was being sold for £5 per bottle! we could have eaten better main courses for that price. All around, very poor I'm afraid.

I have eaten at Pasha a number of times and think the food good value but the service can be poor. Having not been told that we had to finish our meal and leave by a certain time when we booked or when we sat down we were hurried up at the end of the meal and when we protested were treated quite patronisingly (perhaps as an all female group) and rudely. This has put me off returning.
