Sri Nam

I had lunch at the Sri Nam with colleagues. Those who didn't order a starter had to wait for approximately one hour before anything appeared on the table (those who hadn't, 45 minutes). Considering it is Canary Wharf where people don't have a lot of time, the service was pretty poor. On top of that, it was not busy at all.

My green curry was over-salty and I had to spend the afternoon drinking Diet Cokes to recover. I am generally a fan of green curry. Not a place I would return to.

I wouldn't recommend eating here on a Friday night. The bar downstairs is too noisy and the smoke travels up from the stairs - although I suppose that won't be a problem soon.

It is supposed to be more upmarket Thai, but unfortunately, the design of the building does not allow for very comfortable restaurant dining, when the bar is in full swing. I haven't been here for lunch, but would not recommend you trying to get past the bouncers on a Friday night!

The food is not bad and service a little unfocused and non-descript, the decor is nice though. I don't think I'll be going back too soon.

I was taken here for lunch earlier this week and had a super meal. The service was very attentive and great if you want a speedy lunch without feeling too rushed. I started with a pretty firey mushroom soup followed by grilled swordfish steak which was nice but a bit oily. I had a mouthful of my colleagues Phad Thai which was amazing though so would recomend the more authentic dishes over those the grilled and stir fried options! Definitely worth a trip if you're in the Canary Wharf area.

It's a shame to see that my posting on here for December 2007 was not included. It was not a very pleasant experience, the food was average and our group waited too long between orders and drinks. I couldn't feel any real atmosphere.I will not be back in a hurry.

Good food but the place needs tweaking. Agree it's not fine dining but a more upmarket thai than the usual. Chicken satay, fish cakes, prawn curry and thai green curry plus various sides were all really good with generous sized portions. The food came quickly but it took a good while before anyone took our order and drinks were slow to arrive both times. The place is light and airy and the decor unfussy but the experience was spoilt somewhat by the really loud music in the downstairs bar vibrating all around. Seems a shame to spoil the atmosphere of an almost full restaurant for literally a handful of people downstairs in the bar. Sort out the negatives and we'll be back!

Being a big fan of Thai food and having recently returned from Thailand, we opted for Sri Thai for a relatively informal business lunch. Overall, I was extremely disappointed. Service was poor with no coordination or communication between staff - drinks turned up one by one at five minute intervals despite them being ordered simultaneously. The food was very average, over cooked meat, the worst Phad Thai i've ever experienced all rounded off with the waitress spilling sauce on my suit jacket is a hurried attempt to clear the table. When booking this place I was told the upstairs (which is where we sat) was fine dining. This is a touich ambitious to say the least. Summary - poor show Mr Hom.

this resturant was amazing the service was incredible and the food was fantastic great value, cocktails were yummy the manager was elegant and added a touch of glamour to the place all in all a great night out!!!!
