SO.UK (Clapham)

Went there once on a Saturday...never again. Too packed and didn't like the music. Friday night was a much better (happier) mix of people. Excellent funky house music. The Barman was rather miserable though. Went there on a Thursday evening and the waitresses were delightful as was the food (had pad thai). Even though the portion was rather on the small side the taste definitely made up for it: delicious!. The red wine list leaves a lot to be desired. Overall: Saturday nights are for when you are suffering from PMT and want to fight. Friday night if you want to dance till you drop and Thursday night to eat till you pop (only if you order 2 portions))

I've been drinking in SO.UK for many years and am well aware of its 'pretentious' attitute, no more so than last night however, when I was removed from the club for whistling on the dancefloor. Maybe - in stark comparison to most other people in there - I was having too much fun?

Went to SOUK on a saturday and whilst the cocktails were pricey but good and the bar service excellent, the place was toooo packed. Spent most of the night being hit and bumped ( I am a tiny person and was shoved so hard I kept being kocked over and the toilets were horrid. Unisex loos might seem like a cool idea when youre short on space but the reality is come 12 a urine soaked urinal full of aggresivly drunk boys and no where to escape. SOUK might be lovely during the week but saturday night is horrible.

Would never go back on a saturday, but would happily frequent the rest of the time.

Fantastic the Sat night we went there. Keen to revisit. DJ playing excellent tunes. Stylish 'older' crowd i.e. few 25s and under. Everybody up for a good time jive-ing to the music.
