Definitely one of the better Indian restaurants in Covent Garden with food and the service being of a high standard. Reasonably priced as well and thoroughly there mixed tandoori grill...
Would recommend to anyone in Covent Garden fancying a curry!

Very poor. Heard good reviews but did not live up to expectations. waiters were extemnley rude and the food was ever so bland. This place has really to up its game, as this ruined my evening out.
One dish ordered was incorrectly placed at my time and the waiter was adamant we had ordered it. Will not be going back again.

Thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience at this restaurant. Great buzzy atmosphere over the Xmas period and the food was fantastic. I had the King Prawn Peri Peri and Aubergine Bhajee which was cooked to perfection and tasted absolutely divine!
The staff are both attentive and warm, with the time taken to have a little conversation to make you feel welcome, even in a busy restaurant.
The restaurant is decorated in a lovely cosy way which we found the time seem to fly without realising!
A very good selection of wines and cocktails with their house wine priced at a reasonable £12.95 (a good choice between red and white as well) which is a bargain in this part of the westend!!!
Will definitely be going back in the new year and thanks to the staff for making our night such a memorable and enjoyable evening!!

What a great restaurant!
The food was excellent! I had a tandoori mixed grill with pilau rice and saag aloo which was cooked to perfection. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable about the ingredients and origins of the dishes.
The decor was warm and inviting and was impressed with their wine and cocktail selection (had a tandini, there signature drink....some mango fusion drink).
Our group was lucky enough to come on one of their themed Xmas party nights (a bit early, but who cares!) and was treated to some colourful Bollywood dancers performing a dance routine and then holding a workshop for some of the customers!
Definitely going back for the food and atmosphere!

Went with my boyfriend to this restaurant on a Monday night and found it the perfect place for a romantic meal. There were a few tables around, but not that many to ruin the atmosphere (it busy on a friday!)
The food is alway good (a bit of a regular!) and the staff are friendly and discreet. I tried the prawn puri followed by a main of king prawns....mmm..good!!
Would recommend to anyone wanting a good curry in a relaxed atmosphere with staff who like to get to know you, but don't impose!
I think the best thing about this restaurant is the food, first, staff second and decor a third.

Booked a table for 5 at Tandoori Nights and have to say that food here was superb. My colleagues work in the area and this is by a long distance one of the better indian restaurants in covent garden.
We had the hervazi kebab to start with followed by the karahi lamb with a side order saag paneer, pilau rice and garlic naan.........very, very good and very stuffed!!
The service was friendly and attentive with the atmosphere being a mix of theatre goers, tourists and us local workers!!!
The manager gave us a drink on the house for guessing all the movie characters on a quirky painting that they have on their main wall! Although we were wondering why it was up in an indian restaurant.....oh well...who cares....it was a free drink!!!!
Had read good and indifferent reviews of this place, but have to say that my experiences has only good!

I booked for a friend's 30th birthday and had a great night out. The service was very friendly and food was excellent. I had the prawn puri followed by a main course of crab masala which cooked to perfection!
The atmosphere was lively and the wine list was extensive was I have found lacking on other indian restaurants in covent garden. Try the house wines which you can buy by the glass. I won a free glass as they run an ad hoc competition where you need name all the famous actors and actress on a quirky painting on the main wall. All good fun!
With my mains I also order saag paneer, with garlic naan and bombay aloo, all were to good to perfection and definitely would recommend this place for big parties and the staff do make an effort to ensure that you have a good time!

Chose to go to Tandoori Nights for my birthday after reading some lovely reviews. Having booked a table for 20, I was looking forward to pleasant night. I was appalled at the treatment my guests and I received. One waiter in particular was so rude to me regarding the amount my sister and I had ordered (apparently, we had ordered too little for his liking, and we were wasting space on a 'busy night' - may I take this opportunity to point out that, had it not been for my booking, there would've been two other occupied tables in the restaurant that night) that I was in tears having been in the restaurant for just half an hour. I pointed out to him that I am at liberty to order whatever I please as I am paying, then asked to be served by someone else. It was an awful start to the evening.
We asked to speak to the manager and were presented with excuse after excuse - 'he'll be here in ten minutes', and 'he's eating at the moment'?! Eventually, we grew sick of waiting, and spoke to another man on the floor who apologised, saying the waiter did not mean it.
To be fair, the food was good. What a shame none of us will ever return to 'Tandoori Nights' due to utterly rude staff. It doesn't take very much effort to be pleasant, but if it is too much to ask of that waiter, then he is clearly in the wrong profession. Had it not been for the 19 friends around me, I would've kicked up a much bigger fuss about the way I had been spoken to as I am not paying to take rubbish from anyone. Unfortunately, I allowed him to ruin my birthday, and nothing was achieved in the end. Hiring some decent staff would actually make this restaurant perfect.
Good food, but rubbish night. Thank goodness there was a great brazilian club nearby to make up the joke we were forced to call 'a nice dinner', as stated on my invites.

This was without doubt the worst Indian I have ever experienced. We had a table of 10 for a friend's birthday and were looking forward to a decent evening.
Every main tasted exactly the same. A paneer and tomato shambles tasted like tofu in ketchup, Chicken Xacuuti was identical to Korma and if, as one reviewer suggests, a restaurant should be rated on its Prawn Puri then I would rate this restaurant as appealing as road kill with a skin condition.
Service was slow and inattentive even though it was quiet and we were all left with the distinct feeling that our presence was simply resented.
I would return if I was taking my worst enemy.
(My comments refer to the restaurant on Grt Queen St near Covent Garden)
