Tandoori Nights

The food here is very good and really fresh, unlike the establishment next door. But, and it's a big 'but', the service is painfully offhand: we ordered poppadums, they were forgotten, we had to ask for chutney and condiments, there were long delays in the trather dour service and, to add insult to injury, service is included in the bill but also left open on credit card payments. A prime location should not be an excuse for local or tourist rip-off. Disappointing when the food is excellent.

Best restaurant in East Dulwich. Great curries - big selection, lots of healthy options. Lovely tandoori chicken, sizzling grills etc. as well as range of curries.
Good prices and great service. It's small, so you need to book on weekend nights.
Atmosphere calm and peaceful - not a place for a rowdy curry in a big group, ideal for a romantic meal or meal with a friend.

Went to the restaurant with a couple friend from work and was impressed by the quality of food and friendly service. The service was quick and staff were attentive. In chatting to the floor manager, he gave a couple of drinks on the house, which I thought was a nice touch as it was our first time to the restaurant. On the whole it was a thoroughly enjoyable experience if you are looking for something relaxed and friendly. Would have no qualms recommending to my friends!!!!!!!!!!

It was a disappointing experience! Dont trust the rating and make yourself a fool at this Indian restaurant! We ordered 3 main courses and only of them was OK in its taste. None of them was presentable in elegance and size. That was really embarrasing moment when I treated my friend visited me in London from overseas. We ended up to have additional snacks at a Chinese restaurant in Leceister square to stop our stomach making noise before going to bed. In addition the waiters were annoying as they kept disrupting our conversations!

I went there with a friend to celebrate her birthday and we were not disappointed: the restaurant was busy, despite the fact that it was in the middle of the week; the atmosphere was cosy and not loud (you could enjoy food without having to scream to have a discussion). We just had poppadoms + a main course (which was delicious and very filling!) and we received spirits for free (I simply could not believe it!). I have to say that the service was friendly and extremely efficient and that the restaurant was pleasantly not smoky. I am going back there this Friday with another friend!!!

Hi, i visited tandoori nights on the 3rd September 2005.
Being an traditional Indian person o have a high expectation of Indian food served at Indian restaurants.
I am pleased to say Tandoori nights fullfilled all my expectations.
The atmosphere was nice, the waiters were friendly and efficient and the food gets 10/10.
I ordered a chicken tikka starter, chicken tikka masala and special fried rice. I have no complaints at all.Food was great and portions were generous - value for money.
I will be in London again on business and will definetly be visiting this restaurant again.
